If it's any consolation:
- Many may simply want to start playing early.
- Many may be compensating for the lack of demo
Two other reasons:
- Many just spend all their money on Dragon Age and a new rig and simply can't wait untill their next paycheck (or, budget problems. But since online content (CERBERUS NETWORK!) is not available, they will probably buy the game eventually)
- The game simply isn't avaible anywhere near them. The gaming store closest to me is 30 kilometers away, and there is never anything close to decent there. Thank god such things as steam exists, but it still is a problem for those people who do not have acredit card (I am 17 years old, so according to ESRB I am old enough to play the game, but I am not old enough to own a credit card or paypall... I have to ask my father everytime I buy something on steam). This happens a lot in case of those TV Shows, where people who do not live in the country of production have to wait years untill the new episodes air in their country.
But why are we summing up reasons on why people pirate stuff? It's a common problem, whether its Xbox, PC, or just movie or music.
(Weirdly enough, those movies who are pirated the most also sell the most, Case in point: The Dark Kinght)
