Not everyone who pirates is a scumbag freeloader. I guarantee almost all of you have downloaded a TV show or song at some point.

Piracy will always be around, all we can do is support the companies we want to support with our own money and spread their name via good word of mouth.

Because the PC is awesome.

Plus, my ME1 save files are on the PC, so I certainly intent to carry them over.

Herp derp ALL PC GAMERS ARE PIRATES HERP DERP.

You sir, are an idiot. As a legitimate PC gamer, do you actually go 'LOLOL MAKING A PC VERSION IS A MISTAKE CUZ I HATE PIRATES AND EVERY PC GAMER IS ONE'.

Consider this: Somewhere between the release of ME3, hackers release firmware allowing you to immediately download and play games on the 360 and Microsoft is unable to tell hacked 360s from unhacked ones, the game is pirated heavily prior to the game's release. Do you think you should be punished and demand BioWare not release a 360 version?

And I love how you continually ignore the fact that there is no PC torrent out of the game yet. It's the 360 version that's circulating. I guess this should make you wonder why BioWare bothers making console games in the first place, huh?

Of course, obvious troll is obvious.

Fool! There is as much Xbox piracy as there is PC piracy!

Don't put the ball on us PC players. Consoles can be chipped, it's been like that forever.

I dislike you.

While you are right in general, you're wrong concerning the PC-Torrent Issue. Razor cracked the game some days ago.

I believe people should be paid for their hard work. Today's generation has this sense of entitlement and yeah I blame corporate greed and the whole "buy now pay later" attitude that's been instilled in our youth. I also find it unfortunate that game publishers feel the need to have million dollar + advertising budgets. Back when I first started PC gaming a lot of games were sold simply by word of mouth. All in all I think the developers should get paid what they rightfully deserve while gaming should be somewhat reasonably priced so more people can afford it.

Steam has a good way of dealing with piracy, OnLive too.

You do realise it was pirated first and foremost for the 360? Before the PC version was leaked, and that more people were/are downloading it for the 360?

So, Why the **** did they make it for the 360?!

Ohwait, that's right, because both platforms are more profitable than one.

Interestingly enough, I'm buying three PC copies, a pre-ordered CE from the US which will be getting shipped to the UK for me, an ordinary copy for my Dad, and an ordinary copy that I'm then going to mail down to a mate. 3 PC copies, over no 360 ones, from me.

So, are you done making yourself look like an idiot?

I'd imagine a lot of people downloading it have it pre-ordered as well. Nothing like having the game available for a week before you can legitimately get a copy to ****** people off.

It is all the government's fault, really. They have not been strict enough on pirates and so everyone does it. One day, soon, the music industry will lobby Congress enough that they will start making examples of people to discourage piracy, but until then...

Y'know there are some people who own a PC and not a 360 (because we're smart enough to have something that doesn't only play games).

Stopping the production of games for the PC would be even more financially devastating than the pirating, it doesn't take that much time and resources to change a game to work for PC aswell.

And as one poster said, games are pirated for the 360 too.

Lol you can never blame someone for wanting to save money. Piracy sucks but it is the way it is. You can also never blame corporate greed for anything because corporate greed does not exist...

I support honest industry and misunderstood, badly treated, otherwise loyal fans who turns pirates.

Dirty gaming industry and rude, spoiled brat pirates should carve their skin to the bone and APOLGIZE!
I would love to crack their will to do what they do! Wreackin havoc amongst bad pirates and EA would be epic!

You do realize that Xbox 360 games are pirated as well right?

Right?

comapare to the pc? dont make me laugh i knew people who did that (for 360) and it was nothing compare to the ones for pc and i am sure u must be a pc owner for mass effect 2, but i hope u dont get too defensive about it cause its the truth, pc its the worst system to make a game because of the pirating otherwise it would have been the best, (sorry for all of u pc game fans out there but its just that those pc pirates making the pc look like a bad place to make games)

I just hate pirates, but i hope bioware learns that it was a mistake to make it for pc.

I'm not going to read through all those other post but I am going to state that you sir are misinformed.

It has been very well documented that more console versions of games far out number the pc versions of games these days in regards to pirated copy distrubtion.  Sure...it has been happening on pc longer or that the PC is used as the means of acquirment then transfered to console drives once files are set up properly, but the vast amount of pirating is mainly done for CONSOLE versions, weither it be region based hacks/mods, File Image, ect.  You need to make sure your information is correct before you go spurting off and making a fool of yourself.  Too late this time though, better luck next time.

Piracy is greedy, it sucks ass in so many levels, but in my humble opinion I dont think they loose much on it. Many people download games illegaly and then buys it later to support the company, many people would not even know of Dragon Age if it weren't for piracy, and many would probably not even try it if it werent for the fact that they could get a free "sample" of it first. A lot of bands have gained fame and riches through piracy. And the only thing companies can really do to fight the pirates is forcing players to register their games in order to take part in the gaming community, which i think is fairly clever.

a) gamer enjoyment
B) profit
c) instill corporate doctrine in braindead child consumers

I was watching the new trailer of mass effect 2 (launch trailer) and there was a pirate guy telling people to download the game free and shi*  bioware puts their time and money in making such great games as mass effect 2 and these cheap bastard all they do is download the game for free, how in the hell is that suppose to help the economy? I might have understanded if they at that moment didnt had or could make any kind of money but no they seem to enjoy it and dont care, according to the way they were saying it, its like "fu-- bioware we are getting it free"

so my real question is WHY did they make this game for pc? they CERTINELY dont deserve it at all! look what they doing now, mass producing that game for free, this guy said there is already 1700 people downloading tha torrent file thats a lot of money if u multiply that by 50.

You do realize the first piracy version of ME2 to hit the sites out there were a 360 copy?.

BioWare putt on a protection to fight piracy and people moan about it, they then remove it and people continue to moan. Blah!.

Unfrickinbelievable.

That's such a ridiculously foolish sentiment. Consoles are basically glorified media centers that play games now.

Oh yeah can you do your taxes on a 360? Can you write a term paper on a PS3?

Now who's foolish?
