The true solution to the problem:



Design a program into the game that'll fry the PC of any jerk that pirates the game, I'm sure there's some way to make a program that'll specifically target the pirating methods and trigger a sub-routine that'll fry the f***ers PC.

PC is more prevalent tho, xbox pirates need to mod their xbox to play pirated games, pc pirates dont need to as all they need is a code generator or a cracked version of the game. I'm not condoning what these people are doing, matter of fact, i hate that they are cheating BW out of the money that they rightfully deserve.

Also, dude, it's called piracy. There's just no way you can avoid it. Pirates are good at what they do, they leak games early and download them for free. Some pirates are nice, and they download it to try the game, and then buy it if they really like it.

Just don't worry man. Bioware will do good one way or another, piracy is just something you can't avoid.

BioWare has done good so far, they don't seem to be hurtin' for money.

And (not saying saying I support pirates) they also confirm things that people are dying to know...Like Talimance...

Xena: Good thing that ME 2 does not have these limited installs like ME 1 had. My ME 1 said that ive depleted all licences even tho i hadnt even uninstalled the game! I didnt play it for a quite a some time and when i tried to start the game it just stated that im all out of licences. Good thing EA replenished the licences but bad thing that they did it after the weekend i was planning to play it on .

I was watching the new trailer of mass effect 2 (launch trailer) and there was a pirate guy telling people to download the game free and shi*  bioware puts their time and money in making such great games as mass effect 2 and these cheap bastard all they do is download the game for free, how in the hell is that suppose to help the economy? I think you should track their IPs back to their homes and smash in their heads with an icepick. That'll teach the ungrateful bastards.

1. Nothing is stolen.

2. Every "share" of a torrent does not equate to a lost sale.

3. Some "shares" actually lead to sales. I've purchased multiple copies of Titan Quest (+expansion), Jade Empire, Dawn of War (+expansions except Soulstorm [never played SS]) all because I fileshared them first and thought they were brilliant games and loved them. So I bought a copy for me, for my brother, and for my best friend. Yes, each of those games got 3 sales each because I downloaded them first.

4. The combination of (2) and (3) means that the "blow" dealt by filesharing is not quite as hard as corporate capitalists like to claim.

5. "Intellectual Property" kills. Read the post above regarding medicine. Making money off something you didn't make is wrong, I agree with that. People who sell bootlegs are doing something wrong, I agree. Then again, so are CEOs when they make money off of music they don't write.

6. Filesharing exists because people are unsatisfied with their limited options of consuming/obtaining content. Prices and regional restrictions can be ridiculous at times. I live USA, but I don't have the "right" to watch a clip of a UK show on youtube? I pay for cable tv, but I'm not allowed to download a torrent of House? I pay and am still not allowed to obtain it on my pc?

Yeah, I defend filesharing. "IP" does more harm than good.

You're an idiot console user. PC is the only way to go for gaming. Now go on back to your little world of paying for a new machine once a year while I go back to enjoying my PC. What a troll.

Javablood arent you the PC hero. What's wrong with console playing? The games are almost the same the difference is just the controlling? Some people like more to play from sofa than sitting on office chair . I personally have all consoles of the current generation and enjoy playing games on all systems. PC is good for rpg:s and strategy games but id say playing action and driving games on console is a much better experience compared to pc.

Actually, very clever hackers and programmers can make free pirated copies for the xbox 360 as well.

If they go on live, however, some administrators will pick up on the fact that they are playing a bootleg.

You can't prevent ****s from being ****s. That will be life. All we can hope for is that someone will shut them down.

Because you don't buy upgrades for your PC every 3 months (as a opposed to a new console every 3 years).

If I were a "pirate" I would tell you to go stuff it. Would you really like the only information you get about a game to be from the software companies commercials and the gaming magazines that are supported by thier advertising budgets? Piracy is the reason that developers are able ask for the budget to create a superior product. Windows 7 was the most pirated product in history, and turned out to be the best product at launch because of all the issues identified by those pirates. Pirates, (real Pirates) have no problem with supporting developers, and do support good products at every opportunity.



I have preordered the 360 version, and the CE for PC, and recommended this product to all my friends who would like it.



For those that say Pirates are bad, go back to your reality TV and keep your nose out of things you can't possibly comprehend.

1. Grabbing it off the shelf removes a physical copy from the store and thus prevents someone else from obtaining it. That copy can never sell, so that is a loss.

2. Downloading it removes nothing from the store. Physical copies remain untouched and they remain in place waiting to be bought. That copy can be bought, so is not a loss.

I would counter that, Mouse Input is just awesome.
I still remember the horrible Console controlls of Killzone 2. Lost the damn last fight 20 times simply because i couldn't turn fast enough. Then i increased the sesitivity, makeing me aim worse, but i finished it 1st try.

It is a loss,because now the person who dl it for free will not buy it,I think this counts as a loss.

Alcobob: Ive heards killzone 2 has some lousy controls (didnt notice myself when trying the demo tho) but id say PS3 has the worst triggers in the history . Had to buy those "realtriggers" to make em work properly.
