Encountered somewhat odd issue

First i managed to keep all the random helpers at 'destroy the bridges' mission alive - so they for some appeared with me on top of the battlements in addition to the other helpers when fighting the siege towers. Before that they had appeared inside the 'captain's room' when you are woken for the battle.

Second on Crossroad Keep battle i managed to bottleneck all the enemies to point where the start (i.e. gate) and then spammed as many persistent AoEs there - which may have contributed (possibly, maybe?) to the fact that Garius once again decided not to summon the nightwalker but instead started doing melee with random Greycloak fighter - so i had to bypass the grande finale at Crossroad Keep by debug console. Which has happened before...

However what happened next was a real surprise. Trio of Greycloak fighters (GF) appeared with me (and another trio with Elanee) inside the keep - none of the six had weapons and appeared to be wearing padded armor. And now as i teleported to Vale of Merdelain the same additional force of was still with me. However currently it does not appear like the enemies would be able to kill them - attacks against the GFs deal 0 points of damage but the GFs themselves are able to deal some (minor - up to 4 points) damage.

So does there exist a nice method for getting rid of non-controllable NPCs like the said Greycloak Fighters (via console preferably) or am I 'doomed' to have undying escort of six Greycloak Fighters to the very end?

This has happened to me a couple times.  I've managed to get rid of them, but I don't recall the specifics.  I think you have to nip them in the bud when they first appear in your bedroom.  I know I tried things like killing them with AoE spells or Poison (thanks, Elanee), but I believe the answer was to save there, exit the game completely, then start up again and load the save (maybe a reboot in between? (horrors!)).

In any case, it is doable so experiment.

p.s. Don't bypass the Nightwalker - use the fastclick method.  http://forum.bioware...e/#entry3189842

Decided to 'play along' and see how it worked out... Having six (almost * ) undying helpers made the ending segments really easy (too easy). Almost undying as somehow the three Shadow Reavers managed to permanently kill (as in i didn't bother trying to resurrect them - they still hang in the party list) three out of the six almost undying Greycloak Fighters - which was considerably better result than what BG & KoS were able to achieve...
