hehe, I just giggle at this now.
Still holding out for a mShep/Jacob fling. I know, I'm hopeless.

You're an idiot. Every single post I've ever seen you make has been negative regarding ME2. Why are you even here? Seriously?

Nah. If Mass Effect 2 is a big success commercially, as I think it will be, Bioware and EA will conclude that it was the reinvention to become more of a mainstream shooter that did it. And ME3 will be pushed even harder into the derivative shooter mold. FemShep just got shoved back in the closet, MaleShep looks set to spend the whole trilogy there.

Idiot? Hardly. I'm doing buyer's research for myself. Should I end up deciding not to buy the game, I will indeed leave the boards. Should I choose to buy the game in the end, it will be because I found enough worth in there to commit my money. In which case I will have more positive things to talk about.
An idiot is someone who's personaly happiness is tied to everyone liking the things he likes, as much, and as unquestionably.

Considering just how much info is already out, I question how much research still needs to be done other than playing the game.
I, personally, don't like a few things, but I just plain don't see the silly claims that Bioware is going "mainstream shooter". at all. They added ammo, and uncluttered a few systems. So what?

The old ME forums were pretty bad with the romance threads, but this is absurd.

Playing the game, or seeing it being played, which is what I'm doing. And not being all too impressed. So yes, it might be soon that the BioRimmers' virgin eyes no longer need to be ravaged by my evil posts. On this board, at least. Dragon Age is a great game.

He's right though, as much as I want to have an M/M romance option in Mass Effect, i'm sure Bioware is very reluctant to do so as a rather large percentage of the playerbase are the idiotic, ignorant kind that would shy away from the game if it had gay romances in them.
It's sad really.
Faux News might be another reason, i'm sure they have their eyes on this and would be quick to make a story on how this game is apparently trying to turn kids into homosexuals... Yep I can see those idiots doing it right now.

Can I ask, aside from the combat, what makes you think Mass Effect is becoming just a pure shooter? I've played pure shooters. They are NOTHING like mass effect. They've got cover, ammo, and guns in common. That's it.

If its too spoilery could you PM me what you feel makes it more mainstream? I'm not overly fond of mainstream games myself so...
