Has nothing to do with my aim. 20 headshots is something I'm very capable of, but why bother when I can OHK most things with phasic or disruptor ammo. I'd rather grab stuff - way more stylish.

I once was downed by a Combat Engineer and his Turret right after grabbing a Nemesis.

The Combat Engineer was smart and walked past the cover I was using and downed me. However, using my Medigel I was able to revive dodge just as the Combat Engineer went behind cover that was further away..

I grabbed him.

Best. Revenge Kill. Ever.

Grabs are the third most annoying challenge in the game, if you are grinding for challenges.

Being an aficionado of melee, at a certain point I get deeply disgusted that the grab challenge gets in the way of yet another Combat Mastery cycle. Pisses me off.

As a result, I'll do the suggested White Gold Reapers match when I've got five or ten minutes to kill. It's like a little mini game. I use the cabal with the Falcon plus cryo ammo to keeps the husks from bunching up. Like others said, 30 grabs in about five minutes.

2nd would be Solo?

both of these don't come naturally, you have to grind for these.

Grabs, you don't have to grind. It's an just an option, but you can't escape grinding N7 & solo.

1st is Talon Merc Waves completed - I consider that character a junk and so, the worst challenge for me. It is one of the two challenges I have never completed.

2nd is the N7 one. I hate promoting. Just did it once for my BotB and it was horrible.

 

As for solo, it is probably my favorite challenge. I have way too many solo masteries

I'll say. He should of just adjusted to spot them during his regular games. As you should always be spotting at least 1 to 3 grabs a game without even trying. When I really notice this challenge, that number goes higher.

I love doing grabs. Don´t need much of an excuse to go out of my way to attempt one whenever I see a reasonable chance. To me grabs are just one more of those little things that are not central to the gameplay, but really add to the great fun this game already offers.

grabs are awesome

grabbing a target on an objective wave is sublime

they also count as melee kills

they give you i-frames during the animation

they let us get in a little magnet handing of our own

Grabs are easy, you just suck at them.  I never farm for grabs on bronze/silver. I usually get 5 grabs, sometimes 10/15 per game,due to my playstyle, and knowing all the grab locations and which cover sets allow you to cover grab from. I usually get grabs points 3 in combat mastery done before any other challenge. People say I have a grab addiction.

Getting a grab that is an unreasonable chance and escaping alive is even more satisfying. I love going for risky grabs. That big bent pipe on the floor near the lower door of the reactor, y'kno? I ran down the ramp from the LZ, grabbed a Possessed Captain over that while he had a Praetorian and a Scion standing behind him. I corpsed him, stashed the body, and made my escape. Glorious.

 

Of course, the other 19 times out of 20 I simply die in the attempt.

Yeah, but melee in this game is broken. Grabbing isn't.

Hm, from what you describe I see nothing unreasonable at all about this grab . Pulling reckless stunts like this and getting away with it is great fun.

Not disagreeing with you, just pointing out that grabs are twice the fun AND twice the points.

ME3 isn't exactly the place to live cautiously, is it now?

I very rarely get any grabs in this game. I had to run solo-bronze over and over again, only grabbing enemies to get the 150something grabs I had missing from the Combat Mastery grabbing thingie around a week back. It was extremely annoying and I've played the multiplayer since the launch. D:

Just go for grabs when the opportunity arises. I get 250 grabs before I get 1000000 melee points through normal play.

I hated grinding for them. I should have trusted the fact that I play this game so g**dam much that I'd get that medal eventually.
