Grabs should be fun. The game should be fun. Why people grind and do challenges that they don't enjoy has me perplexed.

 

Maybe its a completionist thing for some but there is no great prize as a result of completing a Challenge.

Grinding for anything in this game garners hatred. 

 

Just let them happen and I guarantee you'll develop a healthy appetite for them without trying. 

Some things will NEVER happen unless you go out of your way to get the challenges.

 

Doing grabs the conventional way is the most fun for sure but it's also difficult in a lot of cases.  You can get a few per game but in most cases running to get that nicely primed mook behind cover means someone is going to shoot your tail off in the process.

This topic hurts my feelings.

For whatever reason, the group I play with live for grabs. We love them. Every grab that happens, when you hear the distinctive sound, everyone hits the mic "heard it!"

We literally talk to the enemies through our party chat when we see a grab lining up. "I see what you want marauder, and I'm coming, don't move."

If someone takes a kill when it could have been a grab, they are shamed publicly for their tomfoolery.

If we are playing non grab characters (I.e. jug) we will call out the grab and it becomes a mini game race as all three other players abandon everything to see who can get it.

We are instituting a new rule in our private lobbies. No guns or powers until you've gotten a grab. It's going to make wave 1 of plat harder, but such is life.

Grabs and the shenanigans that come up with them are some of the most fun I have in game. I'm honestly surprised how many people don't like them.

I personally find grabs extremely rewarding.However I also can see where farming them can get boring quick,just like farming anything else(creds,challenges...).

I just learned to look for grab opportunities and enjoy the game,the challenge takes care of itself.

Grabs are awesome .. I used to think they were a grind, but then I trained myself to be on the lookout for them. Once that happens, you will complete that challenge quickly .. generally i get 1 - 5 per match now. The melee challenge is much more of a grind

 

Also, I play very aggressive and sometimes i get myself in bad spots, executing a well timed grab has saved me from using an oops pack or mel gels many, many times

PS Abomb grabs are the best! It's like you farted afterwards if you survived. xp

*shrug* I don't normally grind for them. I just try to get at least one grab per match and it adds up eventually.

 

 

Edit: ...and I've completed it nine times?! 

 

(Still working on Melee and grenade damage this time around, though that's solvable w/o really grinding: Play a Demolisher and grenade everything, then pick a melee kit and melee when you can.)

I farm grabs when I just want to reset the mastery to start counting headshots again... dagger gold vs. Cerberus with batguard is where I go every enemy on the first three waves is horny to be grabbed.. I even think it's possible to lash away a guardians shield and grab them but maybe someone can confirm??

Grabs are fine, but like a few others here, i never grinded for them...alot of the challenges will come naturally without you even noticing them...
