My current build:

http://kalence.drupa...13W53364!7F093G

His Passives being so weak I was thinking of switching to this:

http://kalence.drupa...13W56364!CF038G

I could also drop rank 6 in Carnage for an extra 10% DR in Fortification. Thoughts?

Not one of my favourite kits but I'd be more inclined to skip his passives altogether rather than drop the last rank of Carnage to max Fortification.

Just skip the passives.. they're awful except for the carry capacity.. especially from a power damage perspective.

Agreed.

66606 or 60666 if you don't like carnage.

I wouldn't skip maxing carnage. Those powerful rank 6 fire explosions are one of his defining features.

Personally I keep carnage, and use a typhoon with incendiary ammo for explosions.

Okay, thanks for your input guys. I think I'll try skipping his passives altogether. Now I just need to practice getting a Fortification purge in every 20 seconds. I've never used that feature before.

I use a 56636 build, I prefer a little boost to weapon and power damage over a 10% additionnal DR with rank 6 of Fortification.

You can see in my original post that was exactly what I had planned but with an all melee Fitness and Adrenaline Module set up I think I'll need the extra 10% DR. Plus the only thing I plan on shooting are Praetorians and maybe Banshees that I can't lure onto a ramp.

EDIT: Do you take Melee or Health and Shields in Fitness?

BSN advice; Skip Carnage cause it's garbage. Grenade Capacity with max clip packs, with Grenade spamming, Incindiary cheese, Harrier, Reeger, and such other uber powered weapons + max consumables. Now your ready to hit that Bronze, Silver, or Gold lobby and troll you heart out. :D

Pugs & my advice; Spec into Carnage (the one power all of BSN hates) or all powers. Plus don't abuse you Grenade Capacity and clip packs. Use Shock Trooper or War Fighter gear to help if too tempted... unless you feel you need a good backup plan for the horrible, horrible pug lobby that you seem to be in? Then use Grenade Capacity just in case? :)

Looks alright to me. Personally I find all krogans amazing regardless the build. I don't know which difficulty you play on usually or how you play, but this is what I usually aim for when leveling my soldier, I like my krogans durable: http://kalence.drupa.../me3-builder#23!3705565!!24W53364!9630G then again I'm not sure if I'm the best person to give out any advices.  :D

Graal is amazing at staggering enemies across all difficulties, phantoms especially. With the help of the incendiary rounds and the grenades you can easily pull off fire explosions when combined with carnage. Heavy melee only when absolutely necessary and stay on the move for sync kills. And uh... aim for the head I suppose? Charge the first shot and spam the rest if you have to.

Should have probably skimmed the thread before posting. :) Nearly everyone recommended maxing Carnage with only a couple suggesting 3 or 4 points. Different story for the Krogan Vanguard of course, which may be where your idea of BSN's opinion of the power is coming from.

Oh wait, I meant maxing Carnage. They say that too?

I personally always max Carnage & Inferno Grenades for 6/6 fire explosions.

My standard build armour bonus I usually take either adrenaline or power amp.

My current build is only Carnage maxed and everything else at 5. And I must say I'm very happy with it. Don't recall going Grenade Capacity in on him in a while though? Only Shock Trooper & War Fighter. Though if I pick any other pyjak weapon type on a Krogan, I'd for sure pick Grenade Capacity. Because otherwise I'd be defenseless. :)

I don't know if it's worthwhile maxing out Carnage. I'd suggest taking only the first 2 or 4 ranks with the AoE effect. Anything higher than that is usually a waste. Unless you like to knock down unshielded enemies. I suppose it depends on the play style.

The second build is literally almost the exact build. Except: GC V > Shock Trooper for my play, and I'm really fond of the incapacitate evo. You can skip Carnage (I wouldn't reccomend that), go full fitness B evos., and slap some really good guns on and still do great. It's gonna come down to how you get down. I'm all types of crazy wit' the Krogan Soldier, so the melee-build is perfect for me. Try purging before and in between engagements, as well as when you know you need a boost (I.E. Phantom closing) to finish the job in one shot. Graal, keep it charged during the first melee ,then just spam it at their faces in between melees, but always keep it aimed at thier even during melees.

Also, try as many builds as possible! Don't hold yourself to somethin' just 'cause ya heard it's good, find out fo' yo'self and go nuts!

Or you like doing 1600 damage to armor on top of a 6+6 Fire Explosion. I don't take Incapacitate. With the build I had in mind 5b takes over a second off the recharge speed.

Sorry for asking stupid questions but what does a 6+6 Fire Explosion mean? I'm not very versed with the terms used when talking about all the fine details when it comes to detonation combos and such.

6+6 fire explosion means the priming and detonating powers are both fully evolved upto rank 6.

Inferno grenades (maxed) and carnage (maxed) causes a 6+6 fire explosion.

Similarly you have 6+5, 6+4 etc etc. As you can guess, a 6+6 FE is stronger than the rest.

When you use ammo to prime an enemy for a fire explosion and detonate it with a power, the ammo priming counts as a level/rank 1 primer. So with a maxed carnage as detonator, you'll have a 1+6 fire explosion.

Same logic applies to tech bursts and biotic explosions.

The level of the power determines the damage of the explosion.

So.. a level 4 Incinerate, detonated by a level 5 Overload gives a 4+5 explosion. Two maxed out powers (both at level 6) will give a 6+6 explosion. Biotics are the same.

Incendiary and Disruptor ammo regardless of what level they are.. only setup level 1 explosions, but detonated by a level 6 power become 6+1 explosions.. so still not bad, but not great.
