Whaaaat? What kind of gimp? ...is he gangsta struttin' and mean muggin'?

Seriously.

Handheld himself didnt notice it at first until Handheld himself started having a stare down with the computer screen, Handheld thinks that he might have worded that a bit weird Handheld thinks its less of a gimp and more like a small favoring of the right leg but Handheld found it hardly noticeable until he actively went looking for it.

Ah. So it's like a "once you see it, you can't unsee" kind of thing.

Anyway, yes. I really enjoyed your spoiler-free review and just how much information you were able to give us. It's becoming more rare on this forum to find a thread that doesn't surprise buttsecks me with a spoiler. Thank you:happy:

Why does handheld speak of handheld in third person?

And what exactly is handheld holding in handheld's hand?

Handheld thinks that you will not be dissapointed Handheld wishes he could comment on the other VA's but handheld doesnt wish to comment on something he has no knowledge about.

Handheld thinks the game is very polished and wishes that his fellow forumites could experience the game as Handheld has only handheld knows that he will wait for his CE on the 26th.

I only have three non-spoiler questions for handheld:

1.Is the "feel" of the Mass Effect universe/setting intact.

2.Is there more, less, or the same amount of dialogue as the first game; compared to say, combat.

3.Is there still a codex, and is it as detailed as the first one.

I know handheld has not completed the game yet, but I will be much happier if I have some idea of what to expect.

Thank you in advance.

Handheld will answer to the best of his knowledge.

Handheld thinks indeed the feeling is there however Handheld got this sense of wariness as he was playing as Handheld knew this was the same mass effect universe and at the same time it felt new. Handheld was constantly feeling like he was kinda the outsider as everyone knew what was going on except for Handhelds shepard and Handheld must say that in the beginning this feeling was especially prominent.

Handheld thinks to simplify it yes the feeling is there but at the same time it feels new and different without being unfamiliar.

Handheld has indeed chatted up many a fellow npc and can say with Confidence that Mcfuzz Shepard is a major flirt Handheld will not say with who but Handheld will say that it is quite possible to flirt with certain NPC's very early in the game.

Handheld has read the codex and indeed it is quite detailed Handheld was hoping there to be new details within for example the geth codex page explaining how shepard defeated them, However there was nothing like that but Handheld can tell you that during the beginning of the game Handheld recieved at least 15 to 20 new codex pages.

Handheld hopes this answers your question while staying spoiler free.

Handheld's review made me happy! 8D Especially the small tidbit about Joker! If I can't romance him, at least I can talk to him more often... -sighs- But it was nice, thanks for the bit of info with the lack of spoilers! And Tali's voice and lines sound very promising this time around! <3

Handheld will take those coupons if they work for Krogan McRubRub.

Handheld will be providing more details as soon as he gets the chance to play again specifically on the weapons front and the other VA's if this is okay with Handhelds fellow forumites.

Handheld can say tali fans wont be disappointed and also that tali fans may wish to know Tali looks a bit different but still definitely within bounds of what tali should like. Handheld has also found that tali seems to be alot more confident this time around and Handheld thinks that Tali fans will be allowed to breath a sigh of relief that tali is indeed still Tali and not Uber mega tali of doom.

Wonderful! It seems that for whatever mistakes Bioware made, they left what was great about Mass Effect alone; the setting, the dialogue, and the all detailed backstory.

You are a gentleman and a scholar handheld; and an asset to this forum.

Handheld thanks you for the kind words Handheld also wishes to admit that he was a bit wary of jacob but Handheld can say that jacob is a very interesting character and doesnt always agree with cerberus. Handheld thinks Miranda on the other hand is exactly how Handheld imagined her and Handheld is glad for that not that shes a generic sorta good guy/bad guy personality but thats shes Bad**** and she knows it and shes not afraid to voice her dislike of something. Thats Handhelds opinion so far.

Did handheld find the story compelling ?

Did handhed enjoy the dialogues?

And despair not, the hordes often ignore what other post. Simply intrested in their own subjects of monologue.

Thank you for your efforts.

Oh noes. Now I'm thinking she's going to be like Morrigan to my Paragon Shep.

Handheld has not gotten very far into the game so Handheld cant really comment on the story Handheld will however tell you that so far it seems very promising and Handheld will elaborate more once he is able to and keep it spoiler free of course.

Handheld has indeed enjoyed the dialogue options Handheld had only one small gripe and that is that EDI has alot of secrets. Handheld wont say anything more as he doesnt wish to ruin it for others.

Handheld wouldnt go as far as saying shes as obnoxiously awesome as morrigan but handheld knows there will be times when she disagrees with you and she will voice it.

I think I can answer this more clearly (sorry handheld, you're still awesome):

1)Feeling is the same, but more interesting and fleshed out from the first game. Bioware really on their game now, and ME universe feels like a true space epic now IMO.

2)There is much combat, but also many stretches of good dialogue, done in the same style, but with better presentation. I know many of us had worries about this, but the conversations are just as good, if not better than ME1. Be sure to bring in a ME1 save file with sidequests done - you'll never know who you'll meet :)

3)I didn't see much of Codex, but its there, and voiced. No problems :)

I have to say I'm really happy with what I've been seeing. The customization system actually seems better than before, and I've seen spoiler-heavy scenes without context, yet STILL greatly enjoyed them! I think by the end of the game we'll all be in tears :crying:.

Again, congrats Bioware, and I hope this game is super successful. I only knew like 3 friends who were going to get ME2 (one I convinced after he loved ME1 I suggested, another one who wasn't until I showed him how the adept is much improved, and another girl who loves femshep so she was going to play anyway lol), but my roommate just told me an hour ago how a bunch of people he knows as well (big hardcore gamers even) are VERY VERY excited to get ME2. Good news, I think :), as I'm usually insulated in the gaming world, playing my Persona 4.

Yeah I thought I was going to be leaving Jacob to the wayside, but I think now I'm going to be using him a lot more than I thought. We'll see come 26th though :P I do like him a lot more though! Hope he's at least 'bromance' lol.

Are there any additional maleshep hairstyles that weren't in the first game that also aren't too "military"?

I'm talking about ones where the hair is slightly longer, like the ME1 style that "sits up" slightly like Kaiden's hair.

Handheld agrees however the codex remains largely the same the primary entries are still voiced and the secondary are to be read.

Handheld wouldnt really say the environment is "fleshed out" per say but rather that the enviroment really suits the mood and feeling of each place you go. Handheld thinks you will never see anything that significantly seems out of place or not belonging in a certain are. Everything has been carefully done by bioware and place appropriately Handheld thinks.

Handheld knows there is nothing like kaidens however there is one hairstyle that sits up in the front.
