Bioware games for me are first and foremost about story and character interactions.  But, OH MY, this one is so pretty.  I love the fine details on all the armor and clothing.   And 1000 internets to whoever put reins on the horse bridles and stirrups and a rear cinch on the saddles (assuming there is a front cinch as well -couldn't see it from the trailer).

I had to laugh (in a good, "yes, I'm a little OCD too" way) when I watched one of the E3 interviews where there was discussion of developer despair about fixing tiny details on the corner of a skirt -  these little things might not make or break a game, but I think they represent the commitment Bioware employees put into their work.   I know these are minor things and I would enjoy the game without them, but it really adds to the immersion when all the details are there.  October cannot come soon enough - thank you so much for the hard work you all have put into this game.

Funny you mention the horse - to me it looked very odd. Reminded me a little bit of Link's horse. Not as "real" as the horses from Red Dead Redemption, for instance. But I agree the game looks absolutely fantastic. If it were up to me, I'd like for them to spend more time on improving facial expressions/movements as opposed to minute details on clothing, but hey, I'll take whatever! :D

LOL, the lack of reins on horses in most games is a huge pet peeve of mine.

I do agree that character expressions and movements do more to influence how the game feels and I think animations keep getting better and better.  I suspect there is a huge learning curve and a great deal of difficulty in mimicking the movements of the human body, particularly those that express emotion of any kind.  In the footage we have seen so far there does seem to be a significant improvement on previous games and the devs do seem to be concentrating on making the whole game feel "real".
