Not exactly. In ME1, the problem was lack of exposure to microbes which would "train" their immune systems (think of what happens to first-world tourists who drink the water in second- or third-world countries). What's described in ME2 isn't immune systems which are "too strong," merely mistargeted (someone with an autoimmune condition doesn't have "too strong" of an immune system, it's simply attacking things it shouldn't). In ME3, the codex for Rannoch tells us that interaction with their native plant life is crucial for their immune systems to function properly. You guys at long health problems haven't been retonned or changed before. Remember in ME1 where Tali said their immune systems being weak was why they wore suits "outside the flotilla"? That meant 2 things, that they simply had super weak immune systems and just got sick easily because of that, and that the insinuation there is that they didn't wear sealed suits onboard their own ships. Come ME2 and suddenly they have to wear suits even on their own private ships and in front of family, and the real problem with their immune systems is that it's too strong to the point of going super overboard fighting infection to the point of giving severe fevers over the slightest speck of anything. So they went from "we just needs suits outside our ships" to "we need them 24/7 regardless of where we are", and from "our immune systems are super weak and can't fight anything" to "our immune system is over sensitive and goes DEFCON4 nuclear overkill on pretty much anything foreign which of course gives us all the bad symptoms of sickness if we so much as smell a flower without a filter".
So yeah, it isn't the first time.
So it seems to me the issue is that their immune systems are both "untrained," thus attacking things they don't need to be (though not attacking their own tissue, hence not an autoimmune condition), and too weak to be effective combating things which actually do pose a threat. All the symptoms of an allergic reaction with none of the benefit of the harmful foreign presence being removed.
BUT... this thread is about Thane. Go Hemoglobin!

Defcon 4 nuclear overkill?
Damn right!... Seriously, Quarians immune system does that equivalent to that to things as minor as breathing in a single dead skin cell from another Quarian. I mean, it's like-
immune system: "Foreign skin cell! I repeat, foreign skin cell! Immune defenses code red, I order you to fire every single weapon and bullet and nuke we have at that thing and if that's not enough load yourself into your weapons and fire yourselves at it!"
Or something. That's how their immune system reacts to pretty much anything and everything that isn't from its own body. Granted they adapt eventually. Tali's body adepts to Shepard in a romance from all the sex they have and gets to the point where she doesn't even need to take any kind of caution anymore and doesn't get a single sick symptom from the sex anymore (no more fevers and sinuses being full of stuff she can't describe after doing it). But it takes quite a bit of exposure to get to that point. Before that point of adaptation, "defcon 4 nuclear overkill" is an apt metaphor.

You know what I've learned from reading your posts? You're a pretty rude person sometimes.
Anyway, it's true I don't know what a defcon is. And I actually stole the defcon4 part from elsewhere, which also used it in the same way I did. And no it's not a failure, seeing as my intent was still put across.

I'm a nice person, I just don't suffer fools gladly. Or unearned arrogance.
It was a failure. Intent doesn't mean jack when the word-play is wrong. Do you think making an accidentally racist or xenophobic comment would be forgiven because 'the intent was in the right' place? Someone else being wrong with a statement doesn't mean you're justified in being incorrect either. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Uh, yeah... You're being more arrogant than me here, and trying to stroke your ego and "superiority" over me while you're at it. Well I'm not going to help you with that anymore, think what you want about the metaphor because I'm done talking about it with you seeing as you can't talk about it without being a dick.
You don't suffer fools? I don't suffer people who can't make a point without acting like they're better than you.

I'm not acting superior. You're ascribing that position to me, and those words onto me. Unjustly. And you're going on a tangent off your argument to attack me personally.
Don't respond like a child who's upset he's being called out for being incorrect. I'm telling you that you're incorrect on your metaphor. The proper response is to revise your statement and move on. Not get bogged down on rant against me.

Look, you're still doing it even. I did revise, I admitted I didn't know what defcon was... Yet you still felt the need to belittle me afterward with more posts. Unjustly? Sure.

What Honda have you got?
2012 CBR1000RR.
Bought it as a commissioning present for myself for $7600 and trading in my 2007 500R that I got as a deployment/graduation gift to myself. I love my Crotch Rockets. Some say I'm compensating for having no friends growing up. Turns out money does buy happiness.
I'm finalizing a deal for a Triumph Street Triple for $8k. It's not got the speed, but it's exotic and it's a personal hobby of mine. Along with about a million other things. I'm an anglophile. I love British stuff.

Nice - I've got a CB600F for the commute through London (a 1000cc just aint practical in heavy traffic, and the Hornet is fantastically manoueverable at slow speed).
Am tempted by a Daytona 675 though.
Just out of interest, how hard is the bike test in the States? Here it's a bloody nightmare:

It depends on the state. Indiana licenses (what I have) are a bit easier to get than most. California is notoriously difficult from what I've been told.
