Checked it out and it work perfectly for me, so yeah really good mod, feels good to have the old heavy Onyx back in the locker.
You don't happen to plan to make the eclipse/blue suns helmet available as well? Because that would be awesome!

Thanks, foxunit.
I am porting the ME1 helmets, but it's taking me a while to work them out. They're likely gonna be an addon later.
Can someone with Kaidan please check his From Ashes armor to make sure it looks right with this installed? I've edited the mod file to exclude his FA files since he and James share a norm, and I just need to be sure it's working. It's good on my game, but that doesn't mean all that much ![]()

Quick note for everyone waiting for this. I am working on it still, and it's progressing nicely, but I've got other stuff happening at the moment. It'll hopefully be done soon and I'm aiming for the end of the month at the latest for release ![]()
On an update front, I've got an edited head put together for vanilla Ashley, so no more cleavage poking through the armor!
It'll automatically install with her armor and, so far, works nicely with all three armor weights.

Sometimes finding errors in your mod files can be fun! Ashley's Colossus with Shepard's spec looks awful pretty. ![]()
I'm almost tempted to keep this as an option. This is also a look at her edited default head. No cleavage poking out anymore ![]()
Edit: I'm scrapping my plan to clone in armors for both Shepards since I can't get the male assets to clone without crashing. Since all three armor types are rigged to replace the Collector armor, Shepard will only be able to have one in their closet at a time. Some time in the future I may redo the specs for Shepard to replace other armors, but for now, it's one at a time. Sorry! ![]()

Well, obviously we've passed my projected completion date. It is definitely almost done, but I'm not gonna give an adjusted date just yet. There's a lot more to do than I thought, so I'll stick with 'soon' for now.
In the meantime, have a looksee at the final male heavy armors.

I just ran headlong into pretty big roadblock. During my final packaging, I discovered my edited Ashley head is no longer working. I've repackaged the mods, swapped out the meshes by hand several times, even redone the mesh. She still has the cleavage poking out no matter what I do. It literally worked perfectly until a few days ago when I had to vanilla my game.
Does anyone have any idea why Ashley's cleavage would continue to show even though there is no longer a mesh for it? Barring that, does anyone have an Ashley head with the cleavage removed I could use, with full credit? I'm really kinda desperate at the moment. It's so close to done! ![]()
If I have to, I'll make the Ashley Legacy Project (or another mod that removes her CE outfit cleavage) a requirement for this, but I really don't want to unless there's no choice. I know there are people out there who like Ash's new face and I'd like them to be able to use this too.

Did you try and do a mesh search with Meshplorer 2 to locate all instances of her head? No doubt the best way to find the one that's causing your headaches right now. If you create a tree with meshplorer 2 you can search for and cycle through all mdl entries with the same name.
Can also look into the PCC and ID listing for the Ash legacy mod to doublecheck if you have them all. Can load the mod in and look at the jobs.
Ash legacy restores her ME2 head which lacks the cleavage altogether, the headmorph isn't the same as her me3 face so it depends what you want really. I'm sure ELE wouldn't mind if you ask but a dependancy on another mod is one you have no control over in therms of updates, probably best avoided. I do keep a close eye on that mod should it need updating but yeah. Point stands. ME3Explorer is a bit up in the air atm on SVN so I haven't gone ahead and done compatibility fixes yet until it's stable, neither has ELE.

I'm only replacing two copies of her head, the ones for her CE outfit, and they're definitely showing as changed in Meshplorer. I've checked every other instance of her head and near as I can see nothing else should be affecting that outfit. It's incredibly weird.
I very much don't want to rely on the Legacy Project for this mod, as awesome and fitting as it is. They work beautifully together, and I have the compatible version ready to go, but I really wanna get the one for the vanilla Ashley working ![]()
Could somebody please test my mod for the meshes? (built with v108) Maybe it's just my installation...

While there are instances of the head to go with every outfit separately they don't always get grabbed from the logical place. Afaik due to the fact we can't directly influence load-order/prio the game will grab the head from whatever it has available that includes it or load a default go-to PCC. It's to keep the maximum number of PCC's loaded at any given time to a minimum. As such it's highly unlikely you can influence the head for just one or two outfits, you'd have to replace it across the board or run into this issue.
Could have been triggered by a party change or playing manshep vs femshep etc which could be why you didn't spot it before. A mesh load can also persist through loading screens where a save and reload from the same spot would grab the mesh from a different PCC (as the PCC it got it from before the loading screen is no longer loaded, it'll load the go-to PCC instead). It's nice and fidgety that way. This is why the Legacy project features armor mesh changes to go along with the head, to mask the missing neckpiece on armor that shows it by default, like the default blue and CE red catsuit.
If I misunderstood what you're trying to do, apologies.

Thanks so much for your help, Ottemis
Modding's just so fun, isn't it? ![]()
I've got the head working on the pre-mission squad screens, but on the ground it's pulling her unaltered head from somewhere else and I can't find where. It looks like I will have to replace her head across the board, which I don't want to do because it means I'd have to alter her default blue tunic too. The next option I can think of is to reshape the new armor meshes to hide her cleavage. As I've never altered meshes like that before, this is gonna be quite the learning experience!
I am gonna try a few more things before arguing with the armor meshes, but plan on the vanilla Ashley mods taking just that much longer.
I will be putting out everything else as soon as I'm done packaging and testing, including the Legacy Project compatible Ashley armors. So, for anyone waiting for this mod, you will need the Ashley Legacy Project by ELE08 for Ashley's armors until I can get this sorted out. It should also work with Getorex's Ashley makeover, but I haven't tested it yet. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We have success! ![]()
Ashley in her freshly edited heavy armor, with no more accidental spillage!
This is the bare minimum of editing to hide the cleavage and keep it from clipping, which still results in a noticeably larger bust to the other ladies' armors. It's not too far off from how her other armors look, so I'm good with it. There's still some tiny clipping around her neck that I can't track down, but since it's only visible in certain animations I'm not too concerned. All in all, I'm pretty darn happy right now! ![]()
Turns out editing the meshes a little isn't as complicated as I feared, so it shouldn't take me too long to get the other two fixed up. Still no street date, but keep an eye out. It won't be long now.
I'm kinda surprised I'm putting so much work into a character I never even play with, but oh well. Might as well do everybody, right?
