Agreed. I find Collectors to be harder than the other factions but also more fair. Fair as in much less "Are you kidding me? " moments. Only thing preventing Collectors from being my favorite factions are seeker swarms and plagues. As if bubbles of denial and enemies being able to dodge powers weren't a big enough F*ck you to casters. 

 

Also in regards to Collectors being the easiest faction to headshot, IMO Geth are much easier. Sure, Collectors have big heads that are easy to hit but they also move around much quicker and in unpredictable patterns whereas Geth are slow moving, like to take cover very often and generally speaking are more predictable. My 2 cents.

abominations are one of the more 'bs' classes of opponent in the game, they spawn anywhere, any time and often right behind you 10 feet away,  They are fast, dodge and have ridicuiously large splash damage when killed.

Collectors are fine... on Bronze. Any difficulty above that and they just become a nightmare for me. If I'm not the target, I'm running my buns off trying to save pugs who've been downed every 15 seconds thanks to their huge dps. I'm not even going to mention never-ending Scion spawns or the gigantic silent Praetorians. Or the grenades. **** grenades. Oh, sorry. I mentioned them anyway.

My favorite is the Geth, but most people seem to dislike them.

Sure, but they're also easy to kill and quickly deplete the wave budget which balances it out, IMO.

There's only one enemy with an absurd amount of BS incorporated into the Collecors factions and that's those b*tch as* piece of sh*t mother f*cking punk as* sh*tbag Scions.
 

 

I don't agree that it's the only one, but they are 100% BS.

 

Today on London, I got taken down by a Scion looking at me. No nades, no cannon fire - the arm was pointed at the ground anyway - just emerged from behind cover, Scion turned its head towards me, then "marksmad was taken down by Scion".

 

Admittedly, this means I get the most laughs out of Collectors games.

Collectors are OP, stomp-happy SOBs with annoying Seeker Swarms and enemies that inexplicably barf up spam cluster grenades. (Fine, Scions are carrying them. But do Praetorians REALLY need CGs to knock you out of cover when their butt-lazers already go through it?)

Reapers: straightforward faction (minus in your face teleporting banshee nonsense)

Collectors: Bumrush factions with stupid amounts of damage, but least amount of bulls**t

Geth: Stunlock bs, but otherwise pretty manageable

Cerberus: Steaming pile of turd

Ofc they do. Hard cover reduces the damage by a huge amount - the difference is dying and staying alive - take your pick

 

Seriously though, I don't get why people make that big a deal of buttlazors. How is it any worse than banshee warps that travel all around the map to hit you or atlas' undodgeable rockets or drone stagger. They are all on the same scale for me.

 

P.S.: I'll go to any lengths to defend collectors for least BS.

Collectors do have lots of BS between lazy-eye-armor-piercing-double-hit-butt-lasers and sniper-stagger-happy scions.

 

But that's nothing compared to:

90% DR flip-happy phantoms, Drill-round atlases with missiles that hit through biotic charge, Un-stunnable cheating dragoons, Sniper turrets

Magnet-hands-armor-piercing-warp Banshees, Brutes whose claws extend 3 feet farther than they look, Phaeston 9000 marauders

and last but not least -

Rapid fire rocket troopers, elbow of doom, sniper GPS hunters who can shoot and melee while staggered, 100% stagger combat drones, stealth pyros with 20m flamers, stagger-shock bombers, OP geth turret, and everything Geth Primes do.

 

Less BS maybe. More fun, definitely.
