Ok, So i know the Minimum req is an intel core 2 duo at 1.8 GHz

i have an Intel dual core at 2.4 GHz my processor type is an E2220

i have no problems playing ME 1 so my question is will i be able to play ME 2?

Most people i've talked to have said yes i should be able to Eeek by but it my be slower than i like, i can live with that especially since i do have a new gaming rig on the way after the end of the month, i can even wait a bit longer to play as well.

so what's the general consensus?

i have it rated me just below minimum and i've had inaccurate readings from them before specifically Warhammer 40k DOW 2.

i wouldn't be asking unless i was fairly confused about the legitimacy of the roughly 12 humans i've asked (all of whom have comp gaming experience and work with hardware) versus the systemrequirementslab

Im sure it will be fine given you could get by on ME1. ME2 shouldnt differ that much from the first in terms of hardware needs.

IGNORE the bad advice, everyone.  SR Labs is just a silly, bad joke of a place, a waste of time.  Either stick with the console platforms or take the time to learn about PC hardware.

The so-called "Pentium Dual" is essentially another name for a Conroe Celeron.  The great majority of the onboard RAM Cache that a C2D normally has is ripped out, to get the price down low.  The performance goes down also.  Any Pentium Dual as slow as 2.0 GHz or less is going to be a marginal CPU, below minimum on most relatively recent games. These processors are amenable to overclocking, when matched to the proper mainboard, however.

Toms Hardware has extensive CPU benchmarking charts yo enable anyone to find almost any CPU for comparison purposes.
