The clone couldn't have survived the fall. He fell several stories up and from a moving space craft.

I think you are 100% correct on this one. And I said the same thing in the old forum. I'll go even farther and say: If they revive Shepard again. They'll do it through that clone concept. Via the same process Miranda brought the original Shepard back from death in ME2. She could easily do it again in a later ME. Because the original Shepard fell from space itself! So CloneShep falling a few stories down in the Citadel should be a piece of cake for her. And how do we know that the Shepard who twitched in the rubble in the Destroy ending, wasn't clone Shepard in wreckage from the Citadel?

Shep is not coming back. I understand your desire to continue his/her story but BW have confirmed that he/she won't play any significant role in ME4. Hoping for this is just setting yourself up for disappointment.
Not if they mention Sheppard's name, then gamers will be happy.

That's not exactly a significant role!
I think you're correct in that a few references to Shepard are all we'll get. Whether or not that will make everyone happy remains to be seen.

How the hell did I say a 'significant' role?
Besides that, yeah, I do think we will. I brought ME3 Special Edition for Wii U and am enjoying it, I'm missing the last two DLC which I will bug BioWare for if it means I have to really get their attention. So far I've been beating the crap out of Cerberus troops, if you get up close and personal with them.

Lol, it was me who said Shep would not have a significant role, after OP was hopeful that Shep would return in ME4.
You then said there would be some references to Shep, which I agree with, but I don't think that's what OP is after.

As much as I'd love to see Shepard back in ME4, that's not going to happen, and a clone is just a clone, it's not the real deal. As you can derive from the conversation they have in the Citadel DLC.

No, just no. At least mention Shepard's legacy. Otherwise it might as well take place before Shepard's era.

In the red ending Miranda can patch him back up again and in the blue ending they can clone and tank grow his body and upload his personality in it from the catalyst. I wouldn't want Shepard to be the protagonist again, but this way he could still be in it as a side character. Ideally, I would like him to be the new protagonists mentor like Anderson was to him...

There could be over 9000 more clones hidden somewhere waiting for "Brooks" to be reactivated, but I really don't think that will be part of ME4's story.

Ugh. I hated that douche. There was a freakin galaxy to save, I didn't have time for his identity theft shenanigans.
