Sitting at 48 hours, I finished every DLC and Awakening. I've also finished just about every secondary quest ( though there are a lot of unmarked quests I missed ).

I presume others will have more, others less.

I played on Nightmare and don't think I died/reloaded more than 10 times.

I didn't check the time. But my longest would be my human noble female warrior, Popi. I played all the DLC with her. :) I'll see if I can find how many hours she was played.

You can see in the save file, though keep in mind each DLC has its own save file.

My longest playthrough with Awakening and all the story DLCs took approx. 120 hours. I explored every bit of the world, did every side quest and mission.

Time as per DA:O epilogue save: 98 hours for Alayna, sword & shield HNF, who was the first of my characters to go to the Landsmeet and beyond. 92 hours for Fiona, my first nightmare solo mage. My current character Ajira doesn't read codex, doesn't talk much, and she has little need to fart around with the equipment of companions (i.e., almost all loot is simply sold, period). Combined with perfect precognition she'll probably take roughly one third of Fiona's time.

Just Origins (and in-game DLC) about 75 hours, Awakening about 25 hours.

My longest playthrough with the DLC's (but no Awakenings) weighs in at about 77 hours.

Longest? I think it's at 52 hours. But then, my shortest haven't been less than 48 hours. Also, that's only counting the base game. If I were to guess, including Awakening and the DLC campaigns, I sit at 58-60, tops.

My longest playthrough is of about 89 hours for Origins, and about 40 hours for Awakening. I don't have the saves of my earliest playthroughs anymore, so I'm not sure about their timings.

For me doing everything including all dlc and Awakening, I would say near 50 hours.

okay, just checking my time in the game is not accurate. I spend a lot of time playing with the winter forge and just generally fooling around. I also use my saves to test mods, so I can't really tell how long a game actually takes me. :D I would guess close to 80 hours???

The first play through is always the longest. 125 hours. A little shorter even with all the DLC considering you know where everything is in the original game once you play.

Doing all the sidequests and ingame DLC, I'd say 60 hours tops, although I have a lot go 50-60.Awakening usually takes 15-20 hours, remaining DLC about 5-7 hours.

How do you people reach 20-40 hours in Awakening?

I finished it in like... 10 tops. Nightmare run.

^By just taking it slow in general. Not skipping conversations, reading codex entries, not doing everything that can be done in a particular location in one go, crafting and runecrafting, those with mods messing around with the Winter Forge and the Dye Kit, respecializing someone/everyone once or multiple times, arranging and rearranging the talent icons even though most of them might never get used, setting up custom tactics then fine tuning them, leaving the game on while taking a short break, playing treasure hunt, equipping and reequipping every member in the squad even though they might never use them, longer load times for old machines, liberal use of pausing in combat, - there can be a large number of things that can eat up the hours in the long run.

I'll give my time set for DAA (these are bare minimum times): Beginning keep attack 2h, Keep dungeons 1h, Amaranthine with side quests 2h, Wending woods plus mines 2-3h, Kal Hirol 2-3h, Blackmarsh 2h, misc side quests 1h, End game 2h. That is 14-16 hours.

I concur, and I'd add sifting through loot after a mission, distributing kit to companions and stashing the rest at the Keep, finding that the party chest is full so you have to sift through that stuff as well. Maybe start stuffing runes into weapons to conserve space. Levelling companions so that they can wear their new kit cannot be done at camp, so they have to be summoned elsewhere (but that is not possible at the Keep, for example). Stuff like that can easily eat up to half an hour after a mission.

Something like 40-50 hours including Awakening means 30-40 hours for Origins, and for a longest run that just doesn't look very plausible. A speedy repeat playthrough of Origins - without codex, skipping convos, solo hence no time spent on companions - probably takes 20 to 25 hours and that's with perfect precognition, optimised travel/questing schedule and finely honed combat abilities. For a first run it doesn't really wash.

I'm sorry, but I really can not get behind the premise of this thread.

Ir it is too long, then things can get painful.

I prefer a happy medium.

Kal Hirol 2-3h

I finished it in under 1 hour.

No way it takes 2-3 unless you die 20 times.

"Time played" doesn't account for failed/abandoned attempts, even if you die a hundred times.

Seriously though, on such a tight time budget as some people seem to have, you couldn't even stop and listen to party banter or Sister Theohild's culinarily improved Chant... ("The Veal holds no uncertainty for her, and she will know no fear of death, for the Maker shall be her bacon and her shield..."). It seems I can never pass her without listening for a moment. :D

Runecrafting takes some time in Awakening as well. Not just purchasing the required runes and putting it in the chest, but getting all those Novice runes up to Paragon and others.

I take it this refers to my post.

Picking up Sigrun, making her GW, runecrafting and so on, 2 hours is the minimum.

If you take away the time I waste pausing at the end of every combat action and checking every companion to see if they're doing anything I should know about or want to take a picture of, about 100 hours.  Possibly less, since I always at least once go to bed with the game open.  I'm currently checking to see if I can really find every codex entry in the game and have left the game open twice, taking screenies only under extrordinary circumstances (like having 5 dead werewolves and the unconscious PC in a dogpile at the end of a tough fight or finally being able to pickpocket that revenant mid-combat.)  I'm at 120 hours, I think, and I've just finished Nature of the Beast as my last treaty quest and am on my way to tell Lanaya.  I've got to do Shale's companion quest and find a way to get Oghren to open up about his, then Landsmeet and endgame.  Probably about 160 hours.
