I may be wrong here but IGN is one of the most harsh and in depth reviewers I have ever had the joy of reading. I always thought their Australian and UK counterparts were worse, then Darksiders came out and IGN made War actually cry with their review of his game.  I just got finished reading their ME2 review and now I cannot contain my excitement, it is actually leaking out of me, like a  broken faucet. It addresses issues I was worried about as well as some others on these unhappy forums spent so much time complaining about and 3 out of 5 of their scores were 10's I don't know whether to cry in sheer joy or spend the weekend building a time machine to skip to Tuesday and enjoy Mass Effect 2.

Darksiders looked dumb any way.

Mass Effect 2 is like sex in your brain, eyes, and video game lobe. I doubt it will be challenged any time soon.

I'm just reading up on IGN (http://xbox360.ign.c.../1062898p1.html), and I'm totally with you Awevii. Can I join you in that time machine?

im also impressed how they had a write up and a video YET didn't reveal a single thing about the game either, they are literally 100% spoiler free (one thing that gamespot serious sucks at).

btw: simple way to build a time machine. First get a paper clip, a rubber band, 2 batteries, 1 cup of orange juice, stir together until smooth. Bake at 300 degrees and then glaze with a mixure of egg and icing sugar. Then sprinkle on 2 cups of refined plutonium and then bash your head against a wall until you blackout, you'll wake up a couple hours later. :D works every time!

I read a fifth review tonight (I think it was for a UK site). It was a 98. I think that's 100, 100, 98, 96 and 95 so far. Damn fine start. And I am not allowing myself to read another until after I have started playing the game, because then I won't want to read anymore. I'll be too busy neglecting my responsibilities and social life.

Meh, IGN is the very standard review site. It tends to only use the upper scale of the scores, like in the 80-99 range. Eurogamer tends to be a bit harsher. Best is to look at metacritic.

But yeah, the review impressed me. I am SO stoked for this game right now. And to think that I have to wait till thursday. :( Argh

IGN tends to accentuate the negatives. They made it sound like the PS3 version of Bayonetta was a broken, out of breath cripple compared to the 360 version. I rented both, and yeah, the PS3 version has to load for everything, but the real problem is the game is just a huge pain in the ass on any platform.

I was more hoping for sharing a small confined space...
But for lack of that, I'll try your approach ;)
