Cerberus are the best faction in the game

I'm not going to lavish praise on Cerberus, but Cerberus is not capable of triple-tapping rockets, throwing pinpoint accurate turrets through walls (it's true, Cerberus turrest are much less accruate, even if they fire faster) and deploying combat drones that not only provide the most hilarious (in a bad way) stagger in the game, but also bust invisibility (as if that was ever a useful feature, especially when soloing).

Nor are they carpet bombing (*cough*ScionsBombers*cough*)
Nor do they have units that incessantly get right in your face...

... oh wait, they do, but at least that unit is worth 70 budget points, compared to 10 of Husks and probably some riduculously low number on Seeker Swarms and Plagues which are quite often frustratingly hard to hit while also having a completely unreasonable amount of health and barriers to boot.

The cheapness that the Geth dish out has been discussed ad nauseam, so I'm not going to go through the full list of their offences.

In all likelihood I'm completely desensitized to what people are describing as Cerberus's bullshit ([on-host] Phantoms, instant shield/healthgates, etc.) but at the same time, the vast majority of my Cerberus games are solos and I'm still racking those up. The alleged bullshit they come up with is therefore at all times directed towards me and is probably halved or quartered during team games, making it much less of an issue.

The reason I play so much Cerberus is because they're the fastest faction to solo against. If I happen to go pugging, I'll rotate between the Cerberus, the Reapers and the Collectors, solely to keep the Geth out of rotation. The Geth quite literally force you to play the RHA game almost exclusively or dare you to face their stunlocking wrath. While they may not be the most difficult faction to play against (those are probably the Collectors), they are by far the most obnoxious.

p.s. Mega, good to see I'm not the only one noticing how often an Atlas will shoot with its cannon -through- a wall and hit you, even though it would seem as though you're safely RHA'ing it.

Care to mention some examples (apart from buttlazors, ocassional scion drill rounds)? I like collectors a lot, so I may be overlooking some of their BS as intended stuff.

Scion shots that stagger long enough to prevent dodging/health packs.

Scions that interrupt their melee animation to start shooting immediately.

Captains that look at me for one second and down me (Squishy class but takes me down faster then a phantom ever can. Mostly a small mistake in my part but sucks to be downed soo fast.)

Getting grabbed by Praetorian from behind. It happens rarely but it's insulting to know the game mechanics very well (having that Praetorian focused at some one else but grab you from the rear) but die because of an curve ball.

Praetorian lasers that can can drop you if you "run with the laser." Most likely a feature seeing as how the laser works but a little strange to think it's better to take the laser then to run away from it.

These are the shenanigans that bother me the most about the collectors. Don't get me wrong, they are still fun to play against but these are the type of events that can make the collectors pull out the geth bs.

Fair enough. If you think about it, Cerberus units can do all the things you mentioned above - stagger to prevent you from using ops/gels, animation canceling, high DPS, tracking missiles and AoE, hit through walls, getting synced/downed even knowing game mechanics, etc.

So, cerberus is no better. If anything, all that smoke launching, nemesis insta-shieldgating you while moving, phantom DR (esp. when using hitscan automatic weapon) make cerberus way more annoying.

Not arguing with you but I've listed a few reasons why Cerberus have way more BS than collectors. I am used to all the BS the game throws at me now but I feel that collectors' BS is easier to avoid than other factions' BS. Collectors are tough, have pretty high DPS and punish you hard for mistakes, but I still maintain that they have the least BS.

3. Dragoons are easy!   :o Some kits don't work well for taking out Dragoons, e.g. those without a dodge. So don't play these kits against Cerberus.

Playing U/U does not give you this luxury

Reapers is 2nd? :o

My favorite would be Geth>collectors>reapers>cerberus.

the last 3 factions annoy me. Geth don't for some reason, on Gold at least.

Reapers > Collectors > Geth >>>>> Cerberus for me, and I rarely even host.

Every single game I seem to draw all the aggro from Phantoms and Dragoons, regardless of my kit/setup it's really quite ridiculous. Dragoons especially are complete scum when you have a lagging connection, whip > pewpew and I'm downed before I even know wtf happened

Cerberus is much, much easier on host than when you have any significant lag despite the DR. You can deal with having to deal much more damage to a phantom to kill it, however the increased lethallity of them and Dragoons with latency is a much greater drawback.

Cerberus is my favorite but I like to use Vanguards and Biotic Charge poops over most of them

Asari Vanguard was my first anti-Cerberus kit. Still works well today!

Piranha is my choice for this one.

Phantoms:   Stasis-charge-shot-charge    Any of these in any order do the trick

Dragoons: Charge-shot-Charge

Nemesis: Charge-shot-Charge

Troopers & Centurians Nade or Charge-shot

Atlas: Nade & shot until shields are down then charge-shot-charge-shot

All of these benefit from nades into the fray before charging in.  :D

I PUG pretty much exclusively and I notice "newer-leaders" choose Cerberus when not going U/U... I think there's the shooting things that are familiar (humans) aspect that they like, but I do agree they are among the most annoying faction. What annoys me among the worst among things though is all the damned smoke screens...  I had a brilliant death last night as I charged into a smoke screen ... right into a phantom sync kill ... Pure Ninja'ed on that one!

I pretty much exclusively play U/U/G ... and I sigh whenever Cerberus comes around; they annoy me more than any other faction for numerous reasons, but in a nutshell they're either cakewalk easy (BatSol for instance - as long as you don't get Phantom-synched because she slashed at a team-mate 30 feet away, missed, then instantly disembowels you) or incredibly frustrating - neither of which is much fun and there's no middle ground.

I think in my 2000+ games that's the first time I've seen that particular death. I know it was completely legit.. but was still kinda lol wut? By charge I didn't mean the Vanguard version. I was just running to punch or plug the dude throwing all the smoke... disemboweled!
