Mine is a toss up between Jack & Tali.

 

Jack's is a curiosity of mine about her past...and why she acts the way she does.

Tali's is somewhat of a drama -- along with the splendid graphics & various characters (& means more if you're romancing her).

Mordin's : Very dark, ambiguous, morally gray with consequences that you will feel throughout the trilogy. We're talking about tipping the balance of nature and balancing the existence of an entire race. You can feel the pain through your teammates (Wrex) and the entire krogan race.

 

Really beats any personal drama of any other character.

Favourite? Hard to say.

 

Jacob's is great! Landing in this paradisical location (also: dat arrival music), and then discovering that it actually is a nightmare for everyone involved.

-The whole mission just fits somehow.

 

-Mordin's mission is also just great, (apart from certain "genome diversity" and necessary-human-corpses aspects). With a tragic enemy, who just wants do make things right again, bad guys to burn and Mordin trying to justify to himself what he did (event though there is -depending on player view- nothing wrong with what he did).

 

-Thane's is great in that it variates from the standard shoot-em formula (along with Samara's), has actually a great showdown ("Sorry, Thane"), but a bad (too convenient) 'after-mission-resolution' and I still find myself missing something after playing it.

 

-Legion's presents a tricky choice- (is it better to overwrite someone's personality -maybe completely destroying this personality while doing so- than to kill them?),

 and more insights to Geth society. But it is otherwise just a (not that great concealed) shooting corridor.

 

I'd say it is a toss up between Jacob's and Mordin's, depending on my moot.

Generally, I prefer the recruitment missions to the loyalty missions. I like combat and the combat segments of of the loyalty missions seem to be about half as long as the combat segments of recruitment missions.

 

Of the loyalty missions I think the two I like most are Tali's and Grunt's. For Tali's mission I like the setting of the trial, meeting with all the different people, Liz Sroka's voice acting, and the music. For Grunt's mission I like finding out about the Krogan and I always get a kick out of trying to get past Uvenk & Co. to get that last 900 credits before we jump to the cut scene.

I like them all. I don't really dread having to do any of them, they all have good elements that fit with the charater.

Good one. The line "Just waiting for you to get dressed" is a good line pointing to how they kinda sexualized Miranda. (Not a complaint, just an observation.)

Disappointing: Garrus and Samara (wanted to like them but the execution of both of their endings was nauseatingly bad)

Yeah I have to agree, Jacob's loyalty mish was pretty awesome, especially when done for the first time. Fresh scenery, mysterious and eerie, alot of combat, while still dishing out the character angst... Too bad it's a mission for one of the weakest characters, lol.

If I am a tech character: Kasumi's loyalty mission. It gives me a third Tech Damage upgrade which unlocks the Tech Cooldown upgrade.

 

Other than that, i am tempted to say Thane and Samara's loyalty missions since they are easy XP gains, but I prefer the combat missions instead so... probably Garrus's loyalty mission.

 

I am with Cap and Gown though. I prefer the recruitment missions rather than the loyalty missions.

Even if you are not a techie yourself, it helps out your squad, particularly Mordin. Also, the mission has a some interesting combat. The first time I played it (blind) it was interesting getting all the stuff needed to get into the vault. On subsequent playthroughs, however, that part lost its charm, though I still love how Kasumi says "Its a PLANT!" when you activate a plant while looking for a DNA sample.

After thinking about it, I'd have to say I like Kasum's loyalty mission the most.

 

1. Available from the start of the game.

2. Early Tech upgrade

3. Unlocks a new casual outfit for Shepard.

4. Unlocks a new weapon for sub-machine gun users at the beginning of the game.

5. 60,000 credits.

6. Party chatter.

7. Variable paths in first half of the mission.

I really felt like I was in a Mass Effect rendition of Lost when doing Jacob's loyalty quest. I wouldn't be surprised if the writers drew inspiration from that, actually.

 

As for my favorite...never really picked one, doubt I ever will. But I tend to lean between Tali and Legion.

 

If only people would stop picking on Jacob. It's not his fault that he sucks. /irony

It's a toss-up between Mordin and Kasumi's. Mordin's is up there because of his moral quandary about the genophage, but Kasumi's was definitely the most fun for me.

I liked Garrus' LM for all the mech killing.... and beating up Harkin.

Don't forget shooting him in the kneecap, if that's your kind of thing. I always let Garrus do that, since the game doesn't allow me to simply kill Harkin outright.

Most of the time, no. But this last playthrough I made an exception. Garrus looked like he needed to shoot something... err, something besides 'mechs. And, uhh, blue suns.

Grunts mission is the best. You go to TUCHANKA!! and get to see Wrex.

 

Then you get to headbutt a Battlemaster and later kill him.

 

Now that's a good day.

Garrus'. Not because I like Garrus, but because you can let that-other-Turian-who's-name-I-can't-remember tell his entire story, still have Garrus shoot him and he'll say 'thank you' for letting him get killed
