Varric, perhaps? Maybe IB?
Iron Bull has an STD- Blight Crabs. It's 100% lethal.

Well, considering Gaspard's position, that might not stay true- Ferelden would have been much stronger, and had much more pull in the world, if they hadn't lost half their forces because Loghain is a traitor.
I guess we'll see how things stand-and who rules Orlais- when we finish the game.

I'm hoping they aren't gonna pull the same bullshit they did with the dwarves in DAO where siding with the giant ass hole is actually better for the dwarves over all. I would rather not hand the reigns of an entire country over to an unredeemable ass hole just because his policy on trade is better...

It...would not surprise me, but I hope you're right. I kind of hope we don't decide who sits on the Orlesian throne. I hope that our actions can shape it, but we don't directly point and say, "this one, this one right here should be ruler" and everyone just blindly follows because you can fix the hole in the sky.

And this is an idea I can get behind!

If they made him nice on top of being progressive, the choice would've been too easy.
Well, it's how their politics work. Harrowmont couldn't rule in that set up- it's like immediately setting up a democracy in a country that's never had one. You wouldn't do that in real li-
wait.
Also, Bhelen is better for the casteless and surfacers.

Killing him was also extremely easy and satisfying. Little **** stain, lol.

Heh, that scene makes the Orzammar resolution probably my favourite of all the epilogue slides for the crit path quests.

Good man doesn't equal good politician.
Yeah I get why people liked it, but after having read the Masked Empire there is no possible way I can side with Gaspard and not want to stab myself in the temple.

I came out of it with more respect for Gaspard than Celene, though; Celene is the better ruler, Gaspard is the more honorable person.

Well you said yourself earlier that being a good person doesn't always equal a good ruler, haha. That being said, I know it is inevitable that we will become involved in the civil war, but I'm hoping the inquisition has the option to stay as neutral as possible. Behlen was a dick, but I think what I most resented about that story line was, as was pointed out earlier, it came down to my character just going "I pick that one, case closed."

My point precisely; I'd travel with/ be friends with Gaspard. Celene? I'm good.
Choose international policy? Celene, 100%

I don't care for either. A society that allows you to just break into a random elven family's home and slaughter them is fucked up. Beyond repair. They all need to go.
Can you imagine just chilling... watching TV or something.. and some privileged group is just allowed to kill you and your parents. There's no defense for this.

Yeah, it's like, the hell can I choose? I'm an outsider. Unless I was playing a dwarven noble or commoner, then, my choices were made for me.

The French Revolution worked out so well.

Good point. My elfquisitor will need to consider this when dealing with the pair of them. I mean, she'll hate on all humans regardless, but...

I actually liked that. I love it when games are brave enough to give you these kinds of choices. The "right" thing vs the "good" thing.
I was actually disappointed in ME3 for this very reason. In some of the marketing they said that making every paragon choice wouldn't always yield the best results, and could even hamper you in some cases. Then it turns out that playing an out and out paragon is the only way to make sure everything doesn't blow up in your face. ![]()

Have we told you today that you're evil and mean?
... on the other hand, maybe now that he has more drama Varric isn't considered too stable and boring to be a love interest? (Ohpleaseohpleaseohplease ...)
Well... it did.
Not really- the "Reign of Terror" and mass guillotinings are not the 100% completion ending for "French Freedom Fighter." Good things came of it, eventually, but it was not good itself.
