How do you figure Varric as bisexual?
He could be either straight or bisexual. I had to make a call, so went with bisexual. It could be the other way. I just think it would be odd to implement an LI who only one race/gender/sexuality combination (1/16 of the options and probably the least played combination) could access.
My initial thought was that 9 was too many, but if it was originally six, then they added in just a few "extra" (race-gated) romances for some combinations, it could make sense.
Anyway, just my thought on a late Sunday night.
you and me both, I believe this to be true :0 it makes sense to make Cullen bi because his fanbase goes both ways and they know this.

And everytime says that Dorian looks like he'd be gay I just flash with images of all the gay men I know that look like Blackwall.

I don't think fanbases really have that much weight when Bioware makes LIs

Speculation. Alternately, he could not be an LI at all and Iron Bull could be human, dwarf, and qunari only. It would work out numerically the same.

Why? Dragon Age is long overdue for a gay male character (that isn't Wade or Herren).
It's not that. I think some females (such as myself) find him incredibly gawjuz and would like to romance him as a large amount of gamers tend to gravitate towards their own gender when they have the choice and prefer or only play as that gender. It's pretty damn common.
Srsly I can understand why males were a bit disappointed when Sera was revealed to be a lesbian. It's not like they are hating on lesbians, and I think the rudeness towards straight men on here was pretty awful when she was revealed. You like someone IRl, they turn out to be not interested in your gender. It's disappointing. Done deal over.

Cullen is not confirmed to be anything but an LI at this point. We are assuming that he's an NPC and assuming that he is either straight or bisexual based on the female Amell/Surana "flirt" in DA: O.

I meant, there are 16 race/gender/sexuality options and (qunari exempt) dwarves were the least played race and females are less played in general than males, so I suspect that female dwarves were the least played race/gender combination in DA: O. But now that you mention it, I would guess that there were less gay dwarves than straight female dwarves. I wish we had data on this!

I will almost certainly play my third playthrough as a female dwarf. It probably be my only female playthrough and I would absolutely love to romance Vivienne with her. If Viv isn't possible, then one of the other gals (Sera's actually probably my least favorite gal).
I've only ever finished DA: O with one gal and she was a lady Aeducan who was in love with Gorim, then fell for Allistair and got dumped for Anora. Unlucky lady, that one!

I disagree. I'm a straight guy and I don't feel bad for them, they were an embarrassment, since their comments were gross, childish, ugly. I was like wow, what the ****, how old are they ?
I'd bet anything that if their comments more like : oh well I'm disappointed, I wish you the best with Sera, everyone would feel compassion or neutral at worst. This isn't really what happened.

Also I think people are way too much impressed by a few vocal people. Not all the males wanted Sera, it isn't a big deal for straight guys, it is a big deal for those that wanted Sera, there's a big difference. Also some people when they give their opinion about what they want are too willing to think that everyone think like them, that's annoying.

I can't even decide on my first Inquisitor's race... I was planning on an elven mage with Cullen... but I worry that the dalish origin might mess up what I had pictured before when I was planning it. So... maybe human? But then the Qunari Inquisitor was soooo awesome looking in the demo and FYEAH DORIAN has me all twisted.

I plan on being much calmer than those guys if they announce Dorian as male LI only. I have my Malequisitor planned out for him if I can get with dat with my first Quizzy.

I was planning on HORNS AND TALLNESS for my second PT because I literally planned a Surana FemWarden and a Mage FemHawke to loosen up Cullen for my female mage in Inquisition. No joke. Then they announced H&T as a playable race and it immediately clicked as my second PT. My only thing is that if Dorian IS available for lady kisses then I will roll a rogue first and save my mage for the qunari.

No one's sexuality has been confirmed except for Sera, who is a lesbian.
Iron Bull's bio suggests that he is bisexual, but it's not confirmed officially.
I like to think (with no actual rationale to back it up mind you) that Iron Bull's bisexuality will either come into play in a way similar to Kelly Chambers in ME2 or as an element of his character conveyed indirectly through dialogues and banters. I have no idea why I think this way though. It's probably just because I have no desire to romance him and there are other big, beefy guys (Blackwall) that I'd rather have.
Similarly, and again with nothing to back it up, I feel like Varric won't be romanceable. Something about that just seems very unlikely to me.

Yeah, Dorian is a tough one because he has a very strong, very vocal following of both genders. I tend to think he's gay, but recognize that this would disappoint many ladies.
There are really only three options for the gay companion (provided there is one): Dorian, Solas, and Blackwall. If I had to guess, I'd say Blackwall won't be an LI since he looks like he's approaching his Calling. If Iron Bull is bisexual and is a romance, then that would mean that it's possible that Solas and Dorian are the other companion LI's, with one being straight and the other being gay. Either way, people are going to be disappointed. The reason why I think Dorian is gay is because I just don't see them making both of the elves gay, especially after having every other elf LI being bisexual.
I really just want them to release the chart so that we can all know for sure who we'll have access to and we start the joint celebration/healing process.
