I see a lot of talk about the best faction and the worst faction.
Each faction presents certain challenges but I feel that the map can also play a huge role in some cases

What map/faction challenges you?

Condor -  Collectors or Geth  is always interesting .

Geth | Dagger (this and the above combination can snipe people down like crazy)
Cerberus | London (mostly because of Engineers) 
Geth | Glacier Hazard and Condor on platinum

indeed, in fact a friend and I had to duo wave 10 devices earlier today, that can get bad regardless of the faction but still the placement of devices and turrets can conjure up the perfect storm under certain circumstances.

Any tiny map with fast enemies. Basically, Glacier or White with anything but Geth. I kept running into a preset Glacier Reapers host last night, and I just got so tired of always having Banshees on top of me with Brutes blocking all the doorways.

Jade/Geth, Devices Objectives (the ones in the lower levels). Enjoy the Prime show

Dagger/Ceberus, Devices Objectives, esp wave 10 devices. Turrets, turrets everywhere

Hazard Dagger/Collectors. Enjoy trying to figure out where in the fog those Scions are that keep taking cheap shots from outside of the Geth Scanner range

London/Collectors (or Geth), Hack in the middle of the map, that's gonna cost

Hydra/Geth. Primes and their drones

Glacier/Cerberus. If the objectives lottery is unkind to you, can go south quite easily too

Geth are more annoying on Vancouver and Rio than elsewhere

 

Collectors are more annoying on Condor and London

 

this from someone whose only Condor issue is "waiting for other players"

I use to go throught tons of missions Novaguarding Scions with no more worries about that than I have when Novaguarding Husks, but there was that time in Glacier where I was sync-killed twice* in a row by them. I was like.... ¬¬U Really?

 

 

 

*Which it would have been x4 if I hadn't sync-escaped two times.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. I've been sniping a lot lately, and a small map like glacier with cerb or reapers for me is just a nightmare. And i usually consider both of those factions to be relatively easy.

London/Cerberus (on host) is the worst for gold. Had a pug match last night where it gave us the middle hack on wave 10, it was absolutely impossible with all those phantoms. Even without getting that hack, wave 7 was just turrets everywhere.

 

If you're looking for something that's consistently bad, regardless of objectives or difficulty, Condor/Geth or Condor/Collectors gets my vote.
