Rael is watching the two of them, so if they do something strange or remarkable, she will notice.
Also, you guys are all such amazing writers!!! ![]()

So are you, lady!! ![]()
Etienne is reacting to her, btw.
Oh I bet he is! ![]()

Mahumia, it will take you about 5 minutes to skin the wolf. There isn't really an applicable test for it, but if there were, it would not be a difficult one (anybody with patience can run a blade between muscle and skin, and most people in pre-modern times did it every day as part of food preparation), so we can safely assume success. Tanning or curing the hide so it doesn't spoil in your pack is a different matter. The hide will keep for about 2 days without becoming useless.
Curing hide takes time, water, a stretching rack, and salt or potash. The process can take upwards of 16 hours, depending on the thickness of the pelt, so I assume you're harvesting it to sell it. If not and you do intend to cure it, without specific training, it is a test of average difficulty. Assume Cunning(Natural Lore)(TN=11).
I assume to take it to someone with more knowledge about it, so Bartha can get her armor repaired
I was more wondering if anyone was going to stop her from 'mutilating the bodies' XD
A heads up and a question.
How much longer do you think you'll want to spend in post-combat RP? In theory, we could wrap things up with the next game post tomorrow, but we could hold off until Sunday if folks are involved in joint posts.
The question is, how do you want to transition to exploration? As a reminder, Kesla asked you to look in on the missing Fuldor family (there are 10 of them, aged 46 to 2 weeks, including two grandparents in their 40s, a married couple around 20, an infant, two farm hands in their 20s-30s, and three children aged 4 to 16). We will probably be unable to cover the entire farm in one go, as there are several RP opportunities along the way, but it may be possible to cover more than one outbuilding per week. I guess we'll have to play it by ear?

I'm ready when everyone else is, and I think an outbuilding a week would work (Unless we happen to breeze through something-not too likely, I know.
).
Until somebody says they're going to do otherwise, yes. Etienne and Beldin are wrapping up a private conversation, but the latter just suggested they rejoin the others.
Should we keep using the same thread we did for combat?
We'll continue to use the same thread until we leave the farm.
I guess we will take some time to cover the whole area. Unless we'd split up and just run through it, but that would be boring...
We could see how it goes. We have a few ways we can do it, and all have their advantages and disadvantages.
The party can stay together and proceed at a leisurely pace, covering each area as you explore it. At a rate of one region per week, it could take a very long time to cover the farm from top to bottom, but it is possible to do it that way.
The party can stay together and we could simply try to keep the pace rather brisk, possibly covering two regions per week. Players would still be able to interact with the full team and players would still be able to roleplay, but they'd have to keep it moving and not get bogged down.
The party can split up. This would require the players to form teams and decide which particular areas each team would cover. I could post a map of the farm (when I get home) and let you guys work it out. The most obvious drawback here would be that the party would be split and potentially unable to react if the other team encountered something.
How big is the farm, exactly? I was under the impression that it wasn't huge and that if we explored in smaller groups, we wouldn't be out of earshot of each other should someone call out.
I'd need to research how far sound travels. Kesla made it sound as if the Fuldors were prosperous, with a large extended family and a few farmhands. You don't need to hire help to keep track of two goats and a cow.
You don't really know how big the farm is at this point because everybody kind of went "Gah! Wolves!" and charged in, but you're all standing around at this point, so somebody might look up and get a lay of the land.
I guess I assumed we'd start at the main buildings before we went traipsing through the fields. If we're looking for people, that's the most likely place to start, right?

Speaking for Tempest, no, she doesn't care. If Bartha was skinning dead people, Tempest would have an objection, but it seems like in a setting like this most people would not be too shocked by the sight of someone skinning a dead animal since that's where all their leather and fur clothing would come from.
Tempest would actually approve of not wasting the pelt, since it's dead anyway. ![]()

Much as I enjoy character interaction, it seems like it would be a little odd to come to the farm to search for people, discover at least one person in danger, and then stand around chitchatting instead of moving on to try to help the people they came to help.
So for that reason, I'd be inclined to move on at this juncture.
RP could happen during the search. (I know Chachi and I have something written for Tempest and Etienne that we're waiting for a good time to post.)
As for how to search, my suggestion would be for them to split up but not scatter. If the farm is really large, they could divide it into rough search areas but still stay within a yell's distance of the other groups so if they're attacked the groups can quickly rejoin. Then when an area is fully searched the whole party could move on to the next area. We'd cover ground faster that way without the issue of an isolated group getting into combat alone.

I would agree with this. It would be kind of silly to spend an hour combing the fields for someone you could potentially have found by knocking on the door of their house. ![]()
On it in the game thread. ![]()
Maybe stick together to search the main building cluster, then split up to cover the fields and more isolated outbuildings?
Makes sense to me.
OK! Whatever you guys decide is fine by me! (On totally selfish note, splitting the party makes it easier for me to get everyone in the screen shots. This segment of the adventure will be illustrated.)
Just make sure I know precisely who is on which team. Please do be specific.
Would you be willing to designate someone to roll dice for you?
