I'll start setting it up, but I'm going to wait for Chachi and Hannah and for Ann and Lorien before I do anything. Because this is a Move post.

Also, I'm a bit distracted right now, because fiance and I decided to set the date for October 10th. That leaves less time to prepare than one might think. You'd think it would be easier to find a nice place to host a luncheon on a Friday afternoon (it's both of our second marriages, so we're trying to keep it simple, but the moms keep trying to push us toward something "nice"). And oh, crud, I can't go in jeans, can I? I suppose I'll have to pick up a dress at some point. Do I even own a razor anymore?

Oh gods! Hubs and I did our wedding with a similar time frame.

It can be done, but seriously, do NOT be afraid to come in here and 1) rant/vent 2) tell us that we will just have to wait a damn minute and/or 3) randomly cuss us out/hug us or whatever else you need.

This is why leggings were invented!

Thanks for being so willing to put up with abuse, but it should be okay. It's a really small wedding, under 10 people, so there isn't really all that much to do.

Fiance and I have been living together for 9 years and engaged for 8, so we've got that whole division of labor thing down. He booked the hotel and set up the itinerary (we're only going away for the weekend, but we're taking a few walking tours, so reservations), and I made the appointment for the justice of the peace and I'll call the restaurant tomorrow to make the reservation. We've had the rings for 8 years, so that's done. Since it's in the middle of the day on a Friday, it will just be immediate family, so no seating charts or guest lists or special decorations or anything. In other words, there are a few deadlines, but a lot less stress than a big shindig, thank goodness. I don't know how people do big weddings, I really don't. It's certainly less work than planning and cooking a three course meal for 200 at a site without electricity or running water, which we did for our history club without killing anybody. Which reminds me. I should go look for the rings. I think they're in the attic....

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! :D I hope the joy will outweigh the stress.

My husband and I got married in Jamaica and it was ridiculously easy to plan. We only had 12 people at our wedding. After we got back, we had a reception for our families and friends here. It was 60 people and it was a million times more stressful than the actual wedding!

It's ridiculous how hard it is to plan stuff like this! Keep up the good work! Sounds like you two have it all figured out. :)

Yeah, that reception stress is the reason we aren't going to have one. Nobody wants to have to put on a suit or do that macarena or whatever, and canapes are overrated. We'll rent a campground next year and ask folks to bring beer and something for the grill. We were going to do that this year, but we didn't get our reservations in on time, so we had to book for next year. Hey, less pressure, and it's more fun when it's just a random party. :)

I am okay with moving on. I would just like to wait for Laurelin's reply :) Since Merc and Laurelin are having a "moment." Haha. But afterwards I feel that moving on is totally fine!

Good luck with the preparations Berelinde! I hope everything will turn out well, but I'm fairly sure it will :)

I could make some few more posts with Bartha, but I would also be fine with wrapping things up. So, go ahead :)

Tempest and Etienne will find a stopping point soon, I promise! If you guys wouldn't mind being patient for just a little bit longer. :)

Ann, I know that Beldin owes Mercuriel a sparring match, and I would really love that to happen because anything Mercuriel says is just so many levels of awesome, but (you knew there was going to be a but) we might just have spent enough time at the farmhouse for now. If we could finish it before game post tomorrow, that'd be awesome, but it might be better to have Mercuriel take a pop shot at Beldin for quitting the field and have them agree to postpone their match. There will be two opportunities in the coming 24 hours (game time) for them to do it, although the second is a bit better than the first.

The next game post is ready to go live. Is everybody ready? I'm okay with waiting, but I need to know before I post it.

Last Hannah posted, she wasn't done yet, so let's give her and Chachi a little more time. I'm 80% confident that you'll find it worth the wait. ;)

Thanks, but let's give Tempest a chance to confirm. It's just that we've moved on before without everyone being on the same page, and I'd like to avoid leaving folks stranded.

You realize he does this every time they talk, right? XD She says something that directly conflicts with what he knows, he gets the feels, and then he's like "OKAY GREAT TALK TO YOU SOON *zoom*"
