You don't spam the thread, Miriam, believe me. (What a pretty name!)
Mostly, that's been me, since I like keeping my GM posts and Beldin's posts separate.
And don't worry about making more work for me. It's actually a lot *less* work to be more structured than it is to try to bring everybody back together after they've wandered off on various tangents. Which is why I kinda threw my hands in the air during the courtroom thing and said "Fine. I'm waiting for the Europe/Asia/2nd shift people and so are the questions. If you want to run off and do something else, okay, but your character will warp back in when Q&A time comes up."
I'm as guilty of this as anyone, but let's start using summary statements more, too. That may help folks track the flow.
But yeah, I'm totally in favor of Kat's suggestions. What seems like more work won't be, trust me. In fact, I'll go drop a GM comment in the game thread right now.

Oh We're sharing names?I'm Rafaela!
Well,I must admit that most of the reactions made me giggle(Maker's Balls!) but I literally lost it at Beldin's(the mental image!).Also Rael is such a sweetheart, being all protective. As for Mercuriel...Ah well he knows well how to make Laurelin blush.xD

I'm wondering if there shouldn't be MORE GM posts, not fewer. I actually don't mind you "spamming" the thread, Ruth (you're not overdoing it at all... the last thing I would complain about is more info!)
I really like the summary idea, especially if we tend to be a bit long in our description of what our characters are feeling/doing. For example, if Rael is going back and forth over whether she wants to go and speak with Tempest about her treatment in the Circle (before she even speaks to her--THAT would be a PM) I could do a quick summary and put the rest in spoiler tags. It might look like this:
Rael vacillates over whether she should ask Tempest about her treatment in the Circle, eventually deciding to speak with her.
This way, someone who's short on time could just read the summary and post, and could read the whole thing later if they wanted.
Also, I've avoided PMing Ruth questions, and posting in the OOC thread because I thought I'd be bugging people (Ruth especially--don't ****** off the GM!!) Would it be better to ask more questions before posting, just to clarify things with the GM and other characters? (Again, more work for Ruth.) We could even make new threads just to address questions/issues as they occur.
Just more of my meandering thoughts...

Don't worry about ticking me off. Ever.
But here's a quick guideline: If it pertains only to your character, send a PM. If it pertains to game mechanics, party interaction, or any other matter that might affect other characters or the way we play, start a thread.
I'm also thinking about putting something together about joint posts.A lot of the time, we want to interact with other characters, but some folks only post once a day. If you guys had a little more warning about what's coming, maybe you could start things via PM ahead of time, and that way, when we reach the appropriate point in the game, it will already be done.
Edit: And if you have questions, always ask them, regardless of how you do it. We're going to have to communicate to make a 10-character party work. ![]()

You're likely to meet Fabian, John's character, pretty soon, so I'm posting the bio. And yes, we will go on absolute lockdown once he's on board. No more new players, no matter how bad I am at saying no.
John probably won't visit the OOC thread all that often. He's big into RP, but he isn't really all that chatty out of character. Quirks? Gotta love 'em. He works for the government, so he can't check forums during the day, but he usually gets home before I do and has hours to kill in the meantime. We're still working on getting him registered on the forums, so for the time being, he'll use my account. I'll make sure that I sign my posts because I know he'll forget. I'm hoping that we'll be able to clear up his registration issues soon, and I'll post an update when that happens.

Late to the party, but...
Mahumia, I really hope you'll stay with the group. I enjoy your posts and interacting with you OOC. That said, I understand that sometimes a character just doesn't work out as you hoped, and I support whatever you need to do to continue having fun, whether that's making some changes to Bartha or bringing in someone new.
I'm fine with Fabian joining but I agree that he should probably be it, because the group is getting pretty large. ![]()
I'm on board with all the streamlining suggestions to keep things running smoothly, particularly some advance warning so PM conversations can be planned for.

Thank you dear, it's a sweet compliment
I think I'll just try some things to see how it works out for me.
And Fabian sounds awesome! But yeah... a ten men party is large... (actually 12, as the dogs are also separate characters)

The only one who isn't moving at this point is Mercuriel, who is probably still lost in his erotic fantasies. ![]()
Once he gets a move on, we can jump to the lighthouse. Everyone will arrive together.

I am fine with your fiance joining us, Ruth! He just needs to realize he will be SURROUNDED by a lot of women players save for Sarel

Don't worry dear! We're all in different time zones, which makes things a bit more complicated
By the time you go home, I'm having my lunch and the US group would probably turn around once more in their bed. And with the group growing bigger, we'll just have to get used to waiting for each other

You know, I've often found that poor rolls make for the best role-play opportunities. That 3 could be distraction, the result of a strained ankle from the fall, a leg cramp, anything! But that's just me. ![]()

Just so you know, I'm going to post something in the game thread at some point tonight about Bartha's actions (it's kind of a mini DM/player joint post) and Ann will probably post Mercuriel's initiative when she checks the forum. Bartha's post should bring us up to the point where Rael is within firing range. The spell casters won't quite be close enough and the melee combatants won't be anywhere near melee range, but once that first crossbow bolt goes flying, the distance might close faster than you think. ![]()
Edit: Oh, and I'm going to wait for Mercuriel's initiative post before I post Bartha's.
After that, I'm going to be offline until the evening.

Ugh. I worked from 9:30am to 10:30pm, commuted an hour and a half each way, and I've got to be in at 6am tomorrow. I've got Bartha's post ready to go and I've got the combat order more or less ready, but apart from posting that, I'm going to be offline pretty much all day until tomorrow evening.

Just as a heads up about timing, we're working on a PM conversation between Tempest and Rael that will hopefully take place during the current night after the group returns to the manor.
Their chat is shaping up to be be the length of a small novel, so bring snacks and a comfy chair when the time comes. ![]()
