(And bonus points for remembering she likes star gazing!)
At this point if she tried to actually have a romantic relationship, she'd screw it up. Setting the stage for the future, though... I think that could happen. ![]()

I've got three adventures planned fully and another three in rough outline stages. We have time.
Dog's up next, but hold off on Merc until it's his round. I've been very sporadic in enforcing posting order, and for that, I apologize. It isn't anything personal. I'm just overwhelmed. I'm asking Kat to step in and nudge people when it's their turn to post (or ask people to hold off if they go out of turn) because I simply cannot allow the game to go to hell because I don't know how to delegate. If I skipped you or let somebody else to go ahead of you, please understand that I didn't mean to slight you. Everybody's excited and everybody's posting and I love that, but I'm only human, and this is a big group.
Anyway, I've asked Kat to help keep things flowing and she's accepted. That should reduce the problem.
I apologize for any hurt feelings this has caused.
*cracks knuckles*
Tempest and Tess are side by side in combat order among the party. There are two enemies in between us though, turn wise. We'd planned to combine our combat posts this round, will we need to rethink that? ![]()
No, because speaking is a free action which can occur at any time. Tessa can call out to Tempest and Tempest can hold her round until after Tess moves.
Players may always elect to go later in the marching order if they wish. They just can't go earlier.
PS: If you want to go later, please post that you *are* holding your round so that other players know not to wait for you.
In the PM Tempest just replied "I'm coming" and headed toward Tessa, but I'm not sure how scattered the party is at this point so I'm not sure how much time it'll take her because I'm not sure how far she needs to go.
Yup. I'm going to need to draw a map. I thought it would be okay to just write it out, but I think I may need to invest in some hex paper.
Both Tempest and Tessa can reach their target as a minor action, which places them no more than 6 yards distant. Etienne stopped to put Heroic Offense on Tessa, so they aren't quite on the same trajectory, but they are certainly within earshot. Figure a 30 degree angle between their paths. They can converge on that point as a minor action.
So... do we wait for Dog or do we move on? It might be easier for Ann to just roll both Merc's attack and Dog's together.
I talked to Ann before she went to bed (At the time of this posting it's almost 5 am where she is), and she said she'd talk to me when she gets up and awake. ![]()
Hmm, it's just Dog and baddies before Merc, so maybe I'll just post the baddies to get them out of the way. That may give both of you a better idea of where things are on the battlefield when she does post. And I'm working on the map.
Effing Beldin. ![]()
I'm cool with postponing Dog until Ann rolls because he's a player-controlled NPC, but I'm not cool with skipping Rael's round unless she gives me the OK. Yes, we all know that she's loading her crossbow, but she may want to take some free action or some minor action like move 6 yards or take cover behind another character or something. Hey, you never know.
And I should probably give you a heads up about something else.
You guys must realize how overwhelming it is to keep a game this big running. I'm OK with the die rolls, and out-of-combat RP is a snap, but I just don't have time to fill in the details that make combat so much fun to read. I needed a deputy to help with that part, and Kat volunteered.
The battlefield changes constantly and I never roll stuff too far in advance, so nobody has to worry about that giving her an unfair advantage. Heck, I've opened up the combat spreadsheet to all of you, so you can see I'm not holding anything back (except for Archer 2, but we won't talk about that...). We're all very good at not using metagame knowledge, so I think this solution might work out best for everyone. You'll get the combat writing that makes it come to life and I'll get a little bit of breathing room.
Thanks everyone for being so patient while I was grieving.
We're just glad you're doing okay. ![]()
Glad to have you back, Brian. ![]()
Brian! *hug*
Welcome back, Brian! *hugs*
Sorry I didn't get any thing written yesterday. (I know you're waiting for a PM response, Bface!) The day just didn't go according to plan. Today should be a more normal schedule. Thanks for your patience.
I'm going to want to add a little bit in that PM toward the end, OK? Just 3 sentences or so.
Combat Progress Post
Okay, up next is Beldin, followed by Bors.
Laurelin is on deck, followed by Tempest.
Then, there's Marl, Archer 4, and Tessa will act after that!
Quarterstaff Tom will likely hold his position.
(AND THAT'S THE END OF THE ROUND!!)

Yeah, for sure! ![]()

Thanks for being willing to help, Kat! ![]()
Just speaking in general, someone having an unfair advantage is not really a worry for me. It's a cooperative game rather than a competition between players, and I feel like this group does really well at working cohesively and staying in character. So all this to say, it's not something I'm really concerned might happen.

You take your time, sweet lady. I had to adjust mine anyway. ![]()

I believe Tempest will be holding her action, so that she and Tess can post their combat turn together.
