All the county courthouses are trying to clear their case loads before the end of the year holiday season, which means that John's job is really kicking the bejesus out of him. Things will lighten up after Thanksgiving, but for right now, *I* want to exchange stories with him again. Sorry, Bartha, but you're going to have to wait your turn.

(and obviously gain the class bonus: stunt bonus)

Miriam, don't forget that your Speed and Defense are also tied to your Dexterity. Your Speed is now 12 and your Defense is now 14.

Exactly! Things escalated very quickly from "Ugh, I have to scrape my car" to "Wow, visibility is almost zero and I only know where the road is from which side I'm hitting the rumble strip on!" We've had flurries a few times, but this was our first serious snow of the year.

Since I'm closest to Warsaw, let me say that it's not TOO bad in January *usually*.  

 

Last January, though, my kiddo's school canceled days, probably for about half the month. And snow in my backyard was several feet deep (A bit less than a meter at its worst). We had to dig a little area for our dog to be able to do his business.

 

The worst part, though, is how cold it got. It was dangerously cold most of January.  

 

Well. I was intending to be encouraging.  Instead, let's hope you don't have to come back here till, like, February.

So, Tempest was having a few growing pains during bath time. I will point out, though, that she has made progress. She's taken a step in her thinking, from "I will never get married" to "What would happen if I ever got married...?" which is actually pretty huge for her.
