Just curious I always go for Liara and I was wondering if there's anyone better and why?
Who's the best love interest for male shepard?

It also depends on if you are starting from ME1, ME2, or ME3.
ME1 I go for Ashley (You can gradually see her character change, and I see Liara as a little more interested in the situation.).
If you start in ME2 then I would say Miranda of Tali (Never been with Tali before, but it is supposed to be good.).
If you start in ME3, you unfortunately do not have much choice but Liara (She is kind of thrust upon you, and you have not built any relation with the others.).
But that is the nice thing about ME: do it one way, then go back and do it another way.

To be absolutely honest, I'd actually say that, with Citadel, Miranda is a serious contender for 'best LI for Male-Shep'. Then again, it is a relatively subjective outlook.

Yeah, I forgot about the Citadel DLC. That adds a bit for most everyone.

This is always going to be subjective. I love Ashley and always romance her because I like a strong woman with a soft spot. But if I wouldn't romance her it would probably be Miranda. Jack is a great character but I don't find her that attractive with all those tatoos, without them, it would be a different story.
Liara and Tali I've always considered more as friends, but I might try Liara at a certain point.

Kaidan. I'm serious. The ME1 content is outstanding with FemShep but I personally feel like there's better chemistry with MaleShep.
If you don't want to swing that way, Ashley and Tali both had pretty good romances in my opinion. Don't really care for the rest.

It depends on your own preferences really, and which characters you like or don't like.
I think Liara's is the best because it spans the entire trilogy if you include the LotSB DLC, and other than ME2 she has a lot of content. In ME3 and LotSB she also has a couple scenes that are among my favorite in the series. One other aspect of her romance arc that I love is that she is the only character in all three games (if you include LotSB) with whom Shepard can voice private fears or doubts, and those scenes always serve to flesh out Shepard's character more and make him seem more human.

That's as subjective as anything can get.
But if an opinion is what you want... Tali for me, definitely.

As people have said, it depends on what you like (and what game you start with) and you can always try multiple playthroughs as paragon/renegade and mix it up a bit.
Personally, I prefer Liara.

Ashley or Miranda.
Miranda would actually beat out Ashley, if she had more content in ME3. Citadel DLC rectifies this issue somewhat. If I could have brought Miranda along for the final battle Priority Earth then that would have made it perfect for me.
I like Liara (esp. in LOSB), but I think she is better with FemShep.
Jack - like her, but not for a romance
Tali- like a little sister; romance equivalent to incest
Samara - attraction, but no romance to speak of.
Kelly - a flirtation, nothing more
Morinth - definitely not a good choice for obvious reasons
Allers - Really? I'd rather romance Morinth.

My favourite is Ahley and I normally romance her.
I also romanced Jack in a playtrough and think she is also a good choice .. but Ashley still is number one for me, expecially if you start from ME1

Really? In the scene before Chronos, femshep will have doubts about winning when talking with Samantha

My favorite romance is Jack's. Never was a fan of interspecies relationships, though I can attest that they are very well written and surpass the vast majority of human options by far.

Always, Miranda. Citadel DLC improved the romance greatly! I just wished Miranda was more involved in the storyline than rescuing her sister again. I would have loved to see Miranda leading her own team in the game as it briefly implied from the logs found on Liara's terminal. Or joined Shepard and the crew. So much potential and growth for her character! :-/

True, but Samantha is only in one game of the trilogy, and unfortunately not an option for male Shep ![]()

What does her being in one game have to do with anything?

Sorry, only one post appeared making it unclear. I was referring to your comment regarding "Han Shot First's" post. He is in fact correct about Liara being the only LI in all three games (if you include LOSB) where MALE Shepard can discuss his hopes, fears, etc. Samantha is only available for femShep.
If the topic was best LI for femShep, then I couldn't answer, as I haven't romanced Traynor yet, but I just started a new femShep character and plan to romance her this time when I get to ME3. (Here's hoping she's worth the wait!)

Squeezing both in here real quick.
For MaleShep I think I will go with Tali as the best LI.
For FemShep definitely Liara.

In ME3 I believe all the LIs have similar scenes. Or at least the ones that are on the squad. In ME2 and ME1 that wasn't really the case though, except for with Liara. She is the only character throughout the series who Shepard can express private doubts with in all three games. That other squadmates had similar scenes in the last game I think is probably the result of positive fan feedback on Liara's ME1 and LotSB scenes.

Might have been a few months, but if I were to choose an LI I'd choose Tali.
However, Miranda and Liara are also really good, most of them are actually, it just depends on who you connect best with.
