Hi Folks,

 

this is my first post/topic on this Forum.From Germany and I've been playing games for over 20 years now,mostly rpgs and adventures some space sims like X Wing back in the days or Wing Commander.

Now i'am waiting for DA I to be released.I don't play as much as i use too but a good rpg every once in awhile.

 

Now i'am a bit concered about Vivienne not beeing a romance option or at least i haven't heard anything about it..no yes or no.

Usually i don't care much about romances in games,tali's romance story in ME beeing the exception..now there is Vivienne.When i first saw her i thought..."good Job on that companion Bioware"..She is beautiful and elegant..love her dress and she has a mysterious Aura of sorts.Altho some people might disagree here...i have read some posts about Vivienne beeing ugly or to manly looking..same goes for cassandra...i don't find that.I'am happy not all the female companions are pretty elf girls with big canons and a damsel in distress syndrom.

 

So what do you think?

 

And the other thing is mages attire in general.Will mage players get something fancy and elegant as Viviennes dress???

I hope so becouse in DA 2 the mage robes were pretty ugly i think...more like a potatosack with four holes cut out for arms and legs.

I haven't seen a single Picture yet.

But i still hope we get something that reflects,power and intelect while beeing elegant.Crossing my fingers.

We don't know who're going to be all the LIs yet, unfortunately. Cassandra, Cullen, and Sera are confirmed LIs with Sera being confirmed as female-only. But there's a lot of hope of a Vivienne romance.

 

They've put a lot of effort into improving the mage armor options, and they've been touting a lot of customization.

 

So the answer to both your questions is: hopefully.

While I, personally, don't like Vivienne that much, I wouldn't say she's ugly. She's just not my type of character, I guess. I have no idea if she's a romance option. I'm a much bigger fan of Cassandra and am super excited for her part in the game.

 

I also would like more interesting mage robes than the previous games in this Inquisition, but I'm not too sure about that either. I am uncertain on far too many things.

I think what we've seen of the possible armors in DAI looks awesome.  If you watch the demos from E3 they showed the female qunari mage inquisitor and her outfit looked much better than DA2 IMO: http://www.ign.com/v...gn-live-e3-2014.
 
If you're interested in a male character take a look at the mage class section on the dragon age website for one of the armors they've basically suggested can be used by mage inquisitors - http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/classes.  (I don't know about anyone else but I'm in love with that hat and from concept art for the female inquisitor I think it might be available for females as well.)
 
As far as Vivienne - I don't know if she's been confirmed as a romance, although I think most assume that she will be an option. Sera on the other hand. . .

Absolutely...the rest of the companions look a bit generic and boring if you ask me.I would make a female character just for that dress. But like you said we will have to wait and see.

I hope mages get something else than robes myself. I liked the type of mage attire in DA2, which was more normal clothes than a huge robe/dress, made it somewhat more realistic that a mage would adventure and battle in normal leggings and shirt than a robe.

True,PC players will make some mods sooner or later and even make npc clothing available.I don't know why most developers don't give us NPC armor & clothing at some point.Often they look better than what you can find craft.I remember many times i thought to myself"I want that NPC armor or weapon"..Meeep, no sorry you can't have that...eyes only.So disappointing.

I didn't care for how top heavy the mage robes were on the Female Qunari mage, I guess its because of how tall she is or something like that. I hope not all mage robes are top heavy.

I'm not sure about the inquisitor but i think the companions will have a set outfit which you can add armour to rather than changing what they wear. It has been said that ALL characters can wear the same armour but it looks different on each person based on style and skill. This makes me think the inquisitors armour will look similar to a companion if they share the same specialisation.
