So without doubt, I think what kind of class you are will have an effect in the game. But I was wondering since I'm planning on making my first Inquisitor a templar, will that have any kind of effect, or even like a mention like some mage saying "The way you fight, you're a templar!", really minor things but they do add some great QoL to be honest.

I think it would be pretty cool if we have the Templar specialization and it was mentioned in some way and maybe even have a wee bit of an effect on some dialogue options or banter. I mean being a Templar would make sense since we are going to be dealing with a great deal of mages as well as demons.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that BioWare opted to have less specialisations this time around so that they could make each one have more of an impact? I'm not sure what form that would take though. Whether they were just referring to combat gameplay or not, I'm not sure. It would definitely be interesting to see how people (mages in particular) would react to the Inquisitor having the Templar specialisation.

I'd rather not, hearing someone complain because they don't trust Reavers would just be eye rollingly bad

I'd rather just say Reavers are disgusting. They might be trustworthy though.

That'd be fairly awesome. It was a nice touch in Origins when Ser Otto mentioned Templar specialization… real shame about Otto … but I would really like more moments like that, for sure  :)

Or like the part in DA2 where that aprostitute uses BM to make you cut your throat but then you use Templar skillz and block her attempt at mind control.

Oh? Really? I guess, I didn't realize that; always just brought Bethany along for that quest :P

Are those things actually true? Were they confirmed possible? Honestly, I'd be surprised.

I want to know why Meredith would fight along side a real blood mage hawke when she's paranoid/hateful enough to kill a whole circle because of blood magic.

I don't think that's possible but +1 for the aprostitue, that word is genius.

If you mean the Templar interaction in DA:I, no nothing is confirmed yet.

Because she's mad to have a blind spot, plus she probably hasn't seen Hawke use the blood magic.

Wooop, I think you meant to quote General TSAR. I think, you can break the compulsion anyways, but I don't know if it mentions Templar spec or not as I've never tried the quest as a Templar without getting help from a companion. Also, lol apos-titutes!

Yep you can, I tried it and it's confirmed on the Dragon Age wiki.

Isn't it confirmed that Templar won't be a spec this time around?  I wanted a Templar too, but I saw there were only three specs, none of which were Templar.

There's the Templar spec emblem right in the middle next to the Reaver spec emblem.

Hory shet.  Thank you, sir.  I do not remember seeing that there.

I just hope people will react to me being an anti-Chantry Templar.

I wonder if we'll get any red templar abilities under the templar skill tree.

Or use your own blood-magic against her/him (?) - That was a possibility, too wasn't it (I think it was, but I don't really remember ^^)

Well, we don't have that option anymore :(

As for Templar:

I would want mages to trust you less, if you have that specialisation (!) - I mean most of the real ones (ex-chantry templars) are hunting them and/or are Lyrium crazy (!) or at worst Red-Templars (!)

greetings LAX
