Hello guys. First and foremost, I'd like to thank all those that have been helping me through my beginner days as a scripter. For that I am referring to all those that have been posting on my previous threads. I really appreciate what you guys are doing.

What project I am aiming to look into this time is the possibility of creating a custom Deity.

This Deity would be restricted to only a certain Race and of course, would have its own stricted domains and alignments.

Any guidance as to how to accomplish this would be really appreciated.

Thank you in advance :)

I believe you'll need to create a modified version of the nwn2_deities.2da file and put it in your override folder. You'll also have to use a modified dialog.tlk file to include your description information. Finally, you'll probably also want to create an icon for the IconID field.

I've created new deities specifically for hobgoblin characters. Adding them to the 2DA was fairly straight-forward, although some of the more complex alignment restrictions can get tricky.

You can use a custom TLK file for the name and description if you don't like the thought of modifying the game's entire dialogue file. Just make sure that every module in a campaign references that custom TLK file. Although if you want to be able to use the new deity in any module or compaign then you'll have no choice but to alter dialog.tlk, which runs the risk of making things incompatible with other mods that do the same.
