Hello, everybody. This is my first post. My name is Serlok Brixe from Urdnot, Tuchanka. Anyway, I have a few questions about the first and second Normandy. If any of you could just answer one, I would be most grateful.

1. On both, I know that there are escape pods. I know that Joker has one by the cockpit, but I have never seen any others.

2. While going to the battery on both Normandys (side of medical bay), I have noticed several glass "shafts" with computers in them. There is never anybody inside of any of them. Are those the escape pods? Are those more bunks for the crew?

3. On the CREW DECK of the Normandy SR2, I have only seen one bunk room with about twelve beds. I know that Shepard, James, Diana Allers, Grunt/Javik, and Miranda/Liara have their own rooms, and EDI doesn't sleep, but where do the other appx. seventy-five members sleep?

As I said earlier, if anybody can answer ONE of these questions, I will be most grateful.

Iirc the "shafts" are actually sleeper pods. In ME1 you can inspect one of them I believe and you get a codex entry that states the crew practices what's called "hot bunking," similar to sub crews today. Because there's only a finite amount of room on board the ship for bunks (or sleep pods in the case of ME), crew members share bunks, normally two to a bunk. When a sailor goes on their shift, the one coming off of their shift gets into the now open bunk. And because the bunk is still warm from the previous occupant and has no time to really cool down it's called a  "hot bunk." This probably holds true for the bunk room on the SR-2 as well as the sleeper pods. You have to remember that not all 75~ crew would go to bed at the same time.
