I guess this laptop at work sucks then, Ill check it when I get back home. Sorry. I know I'm not worried about my name honestly but I can see where others can have possible issues. Guys get really crazy sometimes, but I did marry someone in past that later told a friend the only reason she wanted to marry me was to ruin my life and she is in a mental health location still. Anything is possible almost.

I need to type up my thank you letter, but everyone else is using their real name and I also do not feel comfortable putting my real name out there in a public group.  Sure, if anyone were to research and try hard enough, they could probably find out anyhow, but I don't want to make it easy for anyone who may have the desire to be a jerk.  I'm a bit paranoid, if you hadn't guessed.

 

I had meant to make a post in that thread to mention nobody should have to feel pressured to use their real name. Totally feel free to submit a letter using just your BSN handle. Or, if you want your real name in the letter to BioWare but NOT listed here on the forum, you can always PM it to me, too. That way, I can add it to your letter on the Word document, and the only ones seeing that are the bakery, BioWare, and Lady Nuggins (because I'm copying her on all my email correspondence with the bakery).

Yes, there is still time for the letters. Let's put a deadline of Tuesday on those, as I will collect them all that night to prepare them for the final emailed order on Wednesday.

 

 

The name shows up in more then one place there/is still visible.

 

Also...I thought this was a private group...hence my name on that letter.

 

This is a hidden group, so people searching for it can't find it. It's also locked down to "join through administrator approval only", which ensures nobody who isn't already a member can get in unless I approve their joining (which, nobody has joined since we all initially got in here).

 

Naturally, any BioWare employee or moderator could still see it, but the average forumite is locked out. That's about as safe as groups can get here.

With the current funding, we will be able to send an amazing 264 mini-cupcakes (22 dozen)! We largely decided to go with the mini-cupcakes instead of the full-size ones because that allows us to provide more goodies to spread across a team whose numbers we do not know other than "big".

 

Right now, seems most folks have voted to spread out an assortment of 5 flavors:

 

* Cookie Dough (vanilla cake with cookie dough center & icing) 

* Heartbreaker (red velvet cake with cream cheese icing)

* Coffee Date (marble cake topped with creamy frosting & chocolate-covered coffee bean)

* Wild on Whyte (vanilla cake with fresh strawberry buttercream icing)

* Fury (chocolate cake with peppermint buttercream icing & a mint chocolate stick) 

 

At this point, Lady Nuggins is just collecting the last of the pledged funds. I'll gather up the personal messages to BioWare in a Word document to attach to a finalized email order I'll send to the bakery Wednesday morning (outlining quantity and flavors), and Lady Nuggins will call them that afternoon with credit card payment to complete the order.

 

The cupcakes will be delivered at 2:30pm Mountain Time (Edmonton's timezone) on Friday, July 4th, per Allan's advice about that being the perfect time to catch everybody (since the 4th is only a holiday to the Americans... Canada's Independence Day is actually July 1st, so they're on holiday right now and will be back in office on Wednesday). Allan is aware of what's happening and will be on stand-by for the delivery, and has enlisted a few coworkers to help pass out the goodies.

 

Lady Nuggins has said she'll post up a confirmation here of the order being placed, and I'll post up anything the team messages me next Friday showing confirmation (and thanks) for the treats. Allan's got me on Steam, Twitter, and here and knows I'll be lurking to confirm delivery, so I'll post news ASAP.

All right, everything is done on my end. I have finished converting all the letters and pictures into a Word document (removing all the lovely gray BSN background formatting, LOL, so they actually look nice and will print well).

 

It's all attached to a final email to the bakery outlining the total order (22 dozen mini-cupcakes of the 5 assorted flavors we picked); confirming delivery for 2:30pm Mountain Time Friday, July 4th; with delivery address to the Edmonton office with special attention direct to Allan on the DA team; and confirmation that Lady Nuggins will call around 1:30pm their time today with the payment in full. I just clicked "send".

Hopefully so. When I sent some cookies right before their Christmas/New Years holiday break last year, a cookie on a stuffed nug appeared on Twitter, and someone took a Twitter pic of the N7 cookies when those arrived during ME3's one-year anniversary.

 

Someone is likely to throw something up there, especially since this is a BIG order and has a pretty cool expressed purpose. It's unique and it's a nice little snack break during crunch.

Wow.  I know they're mini-cupcakes, but we sure pulled together a lot of resources to get them, and those are a LOT of cupcakes.  Hopefully everyone on the Dragon Age team (at least at the Edmonton office) will get a cupcake.  I know gaming teams are often much larger than people think they are.
