Personally I think that "everyone will be just like they were" has to mean something more than just, "the status quo will continue despite these world altering events."

I'm not sure what you mean by change, though.

Everyone becoming mages mostly, which was what most people though back when DA2 released.

Since Corypheus is an awakened darkspawn/warden. Wouldn't it be possible for him successfully awaken an old god?

Who knows, maybe he's searching for his former comrades as well?

That all sounds plausible. Cool.

So ,do you think that means we kind of get to customize the Big Bad's appearance, or do you think he would have mutated into something resembling his original body by the time of Inquisition?

I would imagine that, were he able to inhabit another body, he would taint and twist that body just by his nature. Though he might be powerful enough to hide his twisted visage.

So I was watching GamerMD's latest video about the E3 demo, and she mentioned something which reminded me of this whole "Corypheus as Big Bad" discussion. At around 18:36, she goes into detail about the encounter at Redcliffe Castle, and how Alexius warns the Inquisitor that "the Elder One" is coming.

This has me thinking again that Corypheus is going to be heavily involved in Inquisition. "The Elder One" seems like a pretty apt description for a Tevinter Magister of old. I could easily see the Tevinter aristocracy rallying around Corypheus if he promised them a return to the glory days of old.
