I really don't want to skip anything on her.. so it's pretty much always skip homing nades, skip fitness or 4/4 Pylon/Fitness.

Actually, a 46646 build just might work too for a melee demolisher, come to think of it.

But damn.. 35% less power damage makes me a sad panda. You'd still have the spawn wrecking double tech bursts with split nades.. but then, what do you need melee for at that point? You've got great mook killer prowess already.

I have her setup as  a  46664 build - 4 into pylon+fitness - carrying a harrier.
I tend to plonk the pylon down in one spot and use it like its another ammo crate.
works out quite well for me...

The 46664 is the build I ran for long time with the falcon and paladin and it worked fine wanted to try something different ran the 66066 with harrier and scorpion it is easy mode but I'm sick of running around the map she's my camper with a kitchen sink and crapper ....

I like speccing out of homing grenades and running melee with her. Don't know if I'd try it above Silver, though.

Works on Gold well enough.

I'd agree that homing grenades are underwhelming. I usually spec arc grenades for armor damage and run around punching things. Love the force cone she projects.

I never really tried any grenade-using build except an odd soldier or destroyer or two that I very rarely used and that one time I used a Destroyer... whom for some reason I mistaken as a guy and I named Ethan, hahaha.

Anyways, might as well tried with the king... or queen, I guess, of grenades.

When using grenades-using character such as her or Drell Adept or the Quarians, which one is more advisable for powers? To prioritize grenade stocks, or damage dealt, or range?

Agreed- her power damage passives are awesome, really tough to skip those... I think the 4/4 Pylon/Fitness split is probably the best option if you really have to spec into Fitness.

Thanks for all the advice so far, some interesting thoughts. Will try out later today, when getting from work.

Oh and somebody asked for my manifest. It can be found here. I'm not a regular player, though I've been playing a lot more lately. Still, I believe I am what most people here consider scrub.

Scrubbery is just a state of mind! I'm but a stone's throw away from a maxed manifest and I'm still a scrub.

Incidentally, if you specced Pylon 4a and Passiva 4b, your Saber I would bring your cooldown on Pylon to 16.22 seconds, which is pretty close to the grenade supply rate of 17.14 seconds.

I know you're not exactly saying they should use the Saber (just pointing out that it would put the Pylon resupply rate in the same neighborhood as the cooldown), but seeing as they don't have Grenade Cap or Warfighter gear unlocked yet, it looks like their best bet is going to be the Shock-trooper Upgrade, with either the Claymore, Piranha or the Crusader.

I took a cursory glance over their linked manifest and thought I saw that both Shock Trooper and Warfighter were base levels, but it's totally possible that I was just seeing things. But yeah, I mostly posted because I thought it to be pretty funny that a base Saber got so close to the "sweet spot" recharge rate on Pylon.

Totally agree with Crusader - that'd be my choice in their position, given their limited options for mods in terms of armor-piercing.

I skip homing grenades.

I find with grenade capacity 5, and with any decent weapon, she wrecks enemies up.

I like fitness....I'm not that good at the game haha.

I ran her yesterday for a couple of matches in Silver, full melee, no homing 'nades, Saber with AP rounds 2. Arc's specced for armor damage. Works out really well, but she's still a little too squishy for me to think about taking her into Gold. Not without Cyclonic 4's anyway.

Just tried it twice. First with Paladin then with Phalanx (since Paladin challenge finished in that first match). And even with 6 nades, she's still a score toper. Just that with 6 nades, you have less emergency nades to spam like crazy when things do go crazy. Course clip packs should still cover you there, just that I barely touched them, so things got kind of hectic at those times when I should of used them. Oh well, them pug matches really kept me on my toes, more so then I'm comfortable with at times.

And yeah, I still love the Carrier AR the best on her.

1)Pylon spec for maximizing nade supply. You can cut pylon a little short and put some points in fitness but I wouldn't.

2)Arc Nades. Full shield damage and radius. Radius can only be upgraded in the power speccing you can always buff damage with equipment. The other thing is infantry often gets stunned by arc nades, upgrading radius essentially increases you're survivability. More enemies dead or stunned equals less things shooting at you.

3)Homing. There's two specs here. You either go damage, burn, split to get two tech bursts or go radius, burn, armor damage. Essentially the first option can give you two tech bursts, the reason you don't go radius is you don't want the detonators to overlap AOE's or you only get one tech burst. The second is a single fragment and again you want to maximize radius. I find the first option better on gold and the second better on platinum.

4)Set your pylon often. Everytime you drop it you get fresh nades even if your pylon just dropped nades.

Tried this earlier (went for second option for homing grenades), no fitness and full power damage in her passives and I was quite impressed with how well it faired on Platinum.I did have one very odd situation where I got a normal Pretorian to just armour, fired off a homing grenade which proceeded to instantly kill the Pretorian. I was playing on Rio at the time and wasnt sure if it was some sort of glitch in the map or whether the homing grenades might of had some bug? I didnt think it was possible to kill an unshielded Pretorian with a single homing grenade?

When in doubt, blame it on Rio.

My Demolisher is a 46664 build as well, but I am using the Sabre (can't recall her backup just now). But I was thinking I may just drop the homers since most targets (Scions, Primes, Banshees) are dead before they arrive. Arc grenades are definitely the best option. Haven't had the balls to try her out on Gold.

Just promoted the engineering line and this is the build I am considering. I kind of like her with the Sabre, they fit well somehow.

I'd suggest taking Electrical damage and shield damage in Arc Grenades as the armour evo is underwhelming and you have various other ways of dealing with armour. Homing grenades take some getting used to but they can absolutely wreck spawns, especially the split evolution on them. You can always fire the homing grenade at a spawn first, then throw the Arc grenade - the HG will then hit the spawn just after it's been primed by the Arc. you'll get 2 strong tech bursts and can follow up with another arc grenade to clean up if you didn't get a killstreak.

I've never been a big fan of her (she should have inferno nades instead of homing :D) but few days ago I tried her with a GPS and incendiary ammo.

GPS -> Arc nades -> Fire explosion > Homing nades > Tech burst, it was pretty good against geths spawns. It's a 46664 build. I had a Javelin as a secondary, but I did'nt use it much... I'll probably use the Arc Peestol as a secondary instead (better cooldowns for the pylons).

The GPS is good at all ranges, do a lot of damages and is a nice stagger stick. It's a top-tier shotgun, but nobody use it or even talk about it anymore for unknown reasons (probably because it's too easy to use... but at least I don't use the Acolyte/Harrier/Reegar/Hurricane :P) Another good thing with the GPS : it works very well with a mobile playstyle, you don't have to camp to be a good demolisher.

I don't use the split homing nades, I know that in theory you can have two tech burst with arc nades, I tried it but it rarely worked. It doesn't worth it imho.

I'd try this build :

http://kalence.drupa...!34O53364!4AFE5

edit2 :

I don't really know if I should take radius or damage for both nades... Try and see what's the most effective.

I find I don't like camping w/ my Demolisher. I jnow that goes against type, since she should park ut by the pylon - but there it is. I try to set up the pylon in a place between ammo boxes or with a good sniping position for people who like sniping.

I'll rework the grenades though and try out the GPS.

I used to use GC5 and a cyclonic, I've switched to GS and power amp IV. I'm getting much better results, 8 grenades is more than enough.
