Logically, only one person can be "the best" at anything, and not many people could claim to potentially be that one person.
If it's title was simply "elite" or some-such, I might actually wear the damn thing occasionally.
Don't agree with the "logically" part -- you could have a group of people being the best players, right? Wonder what percent of players have this? Then, they could call it "The 1 percenters" (or 5% or whatever).

I suppose a title such as "hardcore" or "the few" would have worked.
The banner's actual requirements are quite a bit like the "seriously" achievements/ medal from Gears of war, and wearing the "seriously" medal doesn't mean that you're claiming to be the best, just a dedicated long term player.
It the BotB banner was titled in a similar way to the "seriously" medal, it wouldn't be such a problem for players like me to wear it.

QFE mathemagician and Hero of the Last Days are definitely the best banners, Nomad, both Council Operatives and both Survivors are all pretty nice too. I just wish I could use Hero of the Last Days on my alt accounts

Partly because it looks nice and partly because the N7 challenge took me forever to complete. Kind of like putting a flag on a conquered fortress. 
Honestly, the BoB banner looks bad and you immediately identify yourself as a Bob.
Out of all the banners, the one that i could find nice enough to use would be Nomad. However since i lost that banner for some reason (did not go into single player so that was not why the banner dropped), bannerless it is.
I prefer my 'Lone Wolf' banner, although ironically I'm always a team player.
I like it because I play mostly random, .. Besides it sounds cool.

My favorite, switch between this and the DrellDept. Both say something about my playstyle: biotic or survivor (in: I try not to get myself killed too often 
) And it has the Shadow on it.

The BOTB banner would make me feel I have to top score and do excellent all the time, no mistakes. Sometimes I just don't feel like playing this way, and more importantly, I don't have the skill to play like that with every character/weapon combo. I definitely make mistakes. And btw. This banner just looks ugly. That said, I have absolutely nothing against people using it, BOTB or not.
