Heard that you can finish the game having only one companion left in your party. So who is it?
Who is that one companion we can't get rid of?

My bet is on Cassandra.
On the other hand, it might be a situation like DAO where you can end up with either Loghain or Alistair, but you only have to have one of them. (Well, in fact you can only have one of them.)

Cole.
Whenever you try kicking him out, he makes you forget about it.
Or he follows you around the country, like he did to Rhys in Asunder xD
Awww I shouldn't laugh I really feel sorry for him, its sad.
In DAO, we had Alistair/Loghain. And Wynne if you didn't kill her, there is no "I want you to leave" option for her.
As other people have said, Cassandra. Probably going to be the first person we meet, and the one (no doubt) most dedicated to restoring order.

Gotta stick with this guy. I would guess Cass might be the 2nd toughest to get rid of.

Yeah, it's almost definitely going to be Cassandra. She's certainly going to be our very first party member, and probably has the most personal connection to the Inquisition, so it makes sense.

I think it's Varric, but Cassandra wouldn't surprise me either.

Varric and Cassandra are the first two get real non Jenkins type of companion you get so my bet is on one of those two

Probably Cassandra, which would make me very happy as I don't want her to leave ![]()

It's got to be Varric or Cassandra. Which means that one of them could die... I don't want to think about this anymore. ![]()

The secret companion, whom follows the Inquisitor around, helping them out, unbeknownst to the player - until the final main quest, whence they appear.
The remaining 1 companion prior to the last main quest, dies through a random encounter - but only if there's only 1 companion left when the last main quest is unlocked.

Didn't the video they showed a year or so ago say that if you let that one village burn, you can't use varric anymore?

I'd rather Anders than that. Or Dulci de Launcet. Or Skadge. The secret companion, whom follows the Inquisitor around, helping them out, unbeknownst to the player - until the final main quest, whence they appear.
Spoiler

The Inquisitor in a party of one. Everyone else will leave him high and dry (Oghren snuck in and drained the ale barrels). ![]()

I think it was more like that's a potential crisis point for him than a total deal-breaker.

I'm guessing Cassandra. She'll probably be the one that 'helps' (?) you start the inquisition and wants to close the rifts no matter what you do.
Cassandra is the Believer. I think it is her.
My thoughts is Cass as well, I think from what they've said about her that she'll also bring a large chunk of your opening force, most of your soldiers will be former Seekers it seems at least to me so you'll need her and her men if you lose everyone else and any people they bring.
Didn't the video they showed a year or so ago say that if you let that one village burn, you can't use varric anymore?
It was just an event he'd remember and might come up later, it could lead to him leaving if you keep sacrificing people for your own strength and power, at least that's how they made it seem.
