What factions will your inquisitor destroy or align with

So far here's what I think will suffice as a faction / clique:
+ Aequitarians
+ Libertarians
+ Loyalists
+ Seekers
+ Dalish elves
+ City elves (Briala)
+ Red Templars
+ Normal Templars
+ What's left of the circle
+ Empress Celene
+ Duke Gaspard
+ Wardens
+ Darkspwan / The Architect
+ Anders (joking)
+ Morrigan
Have I missed any factions? Or included the wrong group?
So who would we side with?

My current thoughts for first run as a human mage inquisitor:
- I haven't read Asunder or The Masked Empire, but from what I gather from the Wikia, I will probably side with Duke Gaspard.
- Support the Chantry, punish the rebels.
- As for the Dalish discussion that has been happening, I would not support them, but I won't destroy them unless they get in the way of the Inquisition.
- We are forced to fight the Red Templars and that other Tevinter group, so no choice there.
- godModeAlpha mentioned the Architect, I killed him in my canon, but some Wardens may still side with Disciples, I will destroy any group siding with preserving the blight/taint. (GWs are fine as long as they fight Darkspawn and Archdemon, not side with them, after all Blights are done, all GWs will need to go, too.)
- Re-establish the Circle in some form, so go against the Resolutionists and Libertarians. Still, not going to be a mage-hunter unless it is necessary, dealing with apostates on a case by case basis.
Not enough info to think about who else to side with or who else to oppose.

I don't know if I want to outright destroy any faction, but I definitely do want the opportunity to take people down a peg. The Qunari are entitled to their beliefs, but I'm tired of them getting to comment on the wrongness of Thedosian culture over and over when I would like nothing more to call them out on their annoying elitism.

- The Chantry(sort of) and their ideals(sort of)
- The Grey Wardens(because I love them)
- Mages(but will punish them for blood magic
- Templars(will make them see reason)
- Morrigan(She bae)
- Empress Celen(she's the rightful ruler of Orlais)
- City Elves
- Dalish
- Dwarves of Kal Shirok
- Tal-Vashoth/Vashoth
Destroy:
Red Templars
Demons
Venotari
Any dragon cults
Darkspawn(if any)
Flemeth(because she will die again and again)

I really hope that I can have a mixed match force of both humans/elves/dwarves/qunari as well as various fantasy creatures. Something like a more robust version of one of DA:O's possible army configurations. An army comprised solely of the "goodly folk" is so boring and bland IMO.
- I want my enemies to cower in fear as I roll up to lay siege to their fortresses, not with catapults and trebuchets, but Giants throwing boulders and Dragons raining fire from the skies.
- I want to protect my holdings, not with frail, squishy humans/elves/dwarves/qunari but with unbreakable Golems; constructs that don't need to eat or sleep and are more then a match for any foe in one on one combat.
- I want to watch over and patrol my domain, not with roguish Dalish clans and Dwarf Carta members, but with the perfect camouflage of Sylvans, and the keen senses of werewolves.
- I want to scout out the Deep Roads and establish trade routes with the up-to-date knowledge of an Awakened Darkspawn, not the out dated-information from several ages ago that the Dwarves would have.
- I want to bolster my armed forces with the calvary charge of Mabari war packs and Wyverns, instead of the standard horse led brigade.
Hopefully, DA:I will let me create such a patchwork army to confront the demons of the Fade with.

I don't know..it's hard to say...I kind of like all of them to some degree. They just all seem to have their own crazy extremist type people *cough* Anders *cough* who I might want to try and get rid of lol.

I'll take every oppotunity to overthrow factional leaders and place a puppet leader in charge of them loyal to me.
But yeah I'm willing to give most factions A chance as long as they don't try to screw me or don't ask for to much of me if they have little to offer back.
I'll likely support Celene over Gaspard, Orlais over Ferelden, Mages/Templars depends on what exactly the Mages want: If the mages simply want to be free of chantry oversight I may side with them and have them as an Orlesian protectorate or something idk.. If however they wan't to get rid of the circle and go live among the rest of populace I will help the Templars crush them so badly they will fear ever rebelling again.
I don't want to destroy the chantry though, i would love to make them my puppets.
But yeah I will most likely side with whichever factions I feel can offer the most to my Inquisition.

The Wardens, the Ferelden nobility, the Circle of Magi and it's dissidents, Orzammar (if possible) and the Carta/Merchant's Guild, the Dalish (if possible), the Qunari (if possible), and last but certainly not least Morrigan.

My time on BSN has convinced me that this course of action will be best for Thedas.

My mage Inquisitor is going to destroy all the corrupt in every faction. He'll kill every Red Templar every insane blood mage and abomination to start with and go from there.
This is a golden opportunity to remake the world and the foundation needs to be built on a good foundation. I'll start with the Mage/Templar conflict if there's a deeper decision than simply picking all mages go free or all mages get killed my mage Inqusitor would want to reinstitute the Circle but with much loser restrictions on mages. Primarily the ability for them to live lives outside the Circle once they've passed their Harrowing with periodic checks by Templar and Templar approved mages to make sure there's not blood magic or possession going on. The authority of the Templars will no longer be kept by the Chantry but will instead fall to each country where the Circle Towers are kept.
Next will come the political leadership of Orlais I'll keep the current leadership in place because having a warmonger in charge isn't going to make the world a better place. In exchange for my support if I'm given the ability I'll force Celine to give Elves deeper social rights and fully abolish their slavery program. In exchange the elven uprising will cease all military conflict with the Orlesian government.
That seems like a good start at least for now.

I don't generally spend a lot of time with tie-in stuff, so I don't know a lot of the lore surrounding the games themselves. My experiences from the games tell me that aside from a few places where a faction was clearly all-in one way or another (Darkspawn), the factions of Thedas are littered with a lot of individuals and splinter groups that can swing your opinion wildly one way or another. Groups can go from being sympathetic in one portrayal to nasty in another (Circle from DAO to DA2). Even the Qunari seem to shift in what you see from game to game and individual to individual. Look at how wildly physical appearance in the races even shift - elves don't look alike from one game to the next and neither do the Qunari!
So, I fully expect that aside from some general impressions - being sort of sympathetic to the Chantry, leaning unsympathetic to the Templars, neutral to mages, suspicious of all things Orlesian, neutral to Gray Wardens, leaning irritated to Dalish, sympathetic to Fereldan - I expect that things are going to get scrambled all over again when this game begins.

I'll support the elves and mage freedom, for sure. I wont support the Chantry or the Qun. Anything else is a "wait and see" situation.

Support the elves
Not support the mages
Support Celene
everything else is wait and see.
Though I'll most likely oppose Morrigan and back Flemeth if I can.

It would depend on who i meet from said faction as there's no one faction from Dragon Age i despise or love. Very much like the companions i'm gonna wait until after I've played the game before I form an opinion on any faction.

Also don't like the circle but I'd keep it if you can reform it. It also remains to be seen what they did after being freed in DAO.
The Qun has to be shattered to its core. It goes against humanoid nature and tries to emulate some kind of hive mind behaviour.
Tevinter has to change with the Qun's disappearance and given their somehow democratic magistrocacy they could evolve into Thedas first republic.

Aside from the mandatory enemies, the templars and Orlais, if I can manage it. At least, for destruction. I'll align with anyone who'll help me reach that goal.

It would all depend on current class and character type and of course race.
If i was a mage then naturally i would not support the templars, after all what kind of mage would support his own imprisonment.
If i was a mandune it would depend on the backround we will recive from Bioware and my charcters own moral leanings.
As a Dailsh elf i would most likely attempt to advance the cause of my people using the means at my disposal, if a few shemlan get tossed by the wayside..no skin of my nose.
My Dwarven character would most likely have his assertion that all humans are crazy confirmed and deal with them appropriately
My Qunari character will have his own personal identity crisis to deal with(thank you Iron Bull), so he will deal with factions as they come.

I don't think I'll be destroying any factions at all unless they leave no other choice. One of the main things that every Inquisitor I roleplay (at least on initial playthroughs) is going to go for is:
"We can hate each other when we are safe" - Aveline
As much I dislike Orlais and the Chantry I recognize that they are respectively the most powerful andrastian nation in terms of military might and the only faction that holds a realistic shot at making the andrastian nations cooperating, having them intact increases the odds of beating the crisis. Not to add that creating power vaccums in an already unstable Thedas will make matters worse, not better. That being said my Inquisitors will stand for which faction they think should make more concessions than the other, which will be something like this:
- Should Celene abdicate in favor of Gaspard? Or should Gaspard yield for the sake of a united country?
- Should the elves be granted back the Dales or should their rebellion be put to the sword to restore stability?
- And last but not least, should the Circle system be reinstated or should mages be allowed to train themselves without Chantry supervision?
And each Inquisitor will have varying opinions on those, as I don't really see them having the same mindset. I plan on playing Inquisitors with drastically different personalities and world views.
PS: I'll have to be on the same boat as @Sasha Braus though, I don't think any Inquisitor I play will not have the Chevaliers either destroyed or reformed from scratch (i.e destroyed and remade).

I will align with whoever offers me the most significant aid.
I will destroy anyone who actively opposes me.
Anyone who tries to bargain with me over aid will be left to fend for themselves until they come begging to help me.
