I think you just don't talk to Cullen afterwards or don't inquire more than the quest requires you to.
or maybe the devs threw in a choice that never existed before?

Wouldn't be the first time. There isn't a true, proper equivalent of the "approved of what Anders did" choice in game. (Or rather, there is one, but it also has a neutral option, which isn't reflected in the Keep.)
Yeah, i'm not sure how Anders will work either since I didn't approve of his actions but told him to scurry off.
It's probably a small thing I guess, but it's nice to have.
Maybe it has something to do with him saying ''You've become less of a friends to the Templars'' at the start of act 3?
I don't think i'v ever gotten a different greeting since when I do play pro-Templar, I forget to talk to him. xP
How do you even ''rival'' Cullen in DAII? he seems to personally respect you even if you go with pro-Mage choices/conversational picks.
Doesn't he have like personal quests that you can "betray" him on?
It's been a long time since I played DA2
Nope, no "personal" quests and no "betrayals."
The most you can do is disagree with him in discussions and try to get him to see things from the mages' POV.
This is strange....I created a world state with female human noble warden. Set up so that she and Alistair remain together in wardens (OGB & Anora queen). Then tried to change Denerim battle to Alistair taking final blow (I know it's invalid, just trying it out) and one of the conflicts (the first on the list) was about having recruited Zevran? It didn't make any difference when I unlocked it, but why bring it up? Anyone else have that happen?

This sounds like another reason for Justin to hate Alistair! ![]()

I was trying to recrate your issue when I managed to select "Alistair stayed with the grey wardens and the warden" while romancing Zevran o.O and it works with Leliana too!

I've seen that bug before, the problem is the "did the warden remain Alistair's mistress" should prompt you to choose "Romanced Alistair", but it doesn't if you've already selected Zevran or Leliana.
I've noticed a lot of strangeness with Alistair's plot flags. Best thing to do is report them as you find them.
Maybe "friends with Cullen" means you agreed with his views on mages. I kept telling him "mages are people too", but he kind of ignored that.
Been finishing up a DA2 playthrough the past couple days and I have to say, I forgot just how anti-mage Cullen actually was. Not sure if the Warden being a mage has anything to do with it (since he was in the worldstate I'm playing in; and the mage Origin is the only one where rumors of serial killer Cullen spread) But you could be right, there. Telling him that mages aren't all bad seems to enrage him. I'd imagine telling him that they all should die would have the opposite effect. *shrug*
Then again, I do feel like he was a bit more reasonable in my last playthrough. It's been a while, so maybe I'm just remembering it wrong. Or there might be some subtle decision that determines Cullen's behavior. Because I remember my reaction to him in my first playthrough was along the lines of "The slides in Origin said this guy became a mage serial killer - why does he seem like one of the most reasonable characters in the game?", while my reaction to him this time around has been "Wow... I know the devs debunked it, but I think the slides might have actually been right." 0o

I assume it'll be something along these lines, perhaps because Hawke is coming back in DA3, if only briefly - maybe Cullen will have a thing or two to say about them.
My world state has been pretty much identical to my 'canon' playthrough, but I am really torn on what to do at the end of Witch Hunt. My Warden stabbed Morrigan (he had never romanced her, but asked Loghain to have a baby with her in the DR), but she pretty obviously didn't die, as we now know. And I am contemplating wussing out of that decision because a live Morrigan with a grudge against the Warden kinda scares me to be honest ![]()

One of my world states has a Warden that stays Alistair's mistress. I changed the tile in the companions section to say the Warden had romanced Morrigan and it made me change tile concerning Alistair to say that the Warden and Alistair didn't stay together but it didn't show a conflict with my Warden being a woman.

Don't know about that. He was still friendly even if we didn't agree on everything.
I never knew you could talk Branka in to killing herself, and I like my wardens as diplomatic as possible. So, I sided with Caridin and talked Branka to death in the Keep. The Wiki says you can only talk her to death if you side against Caridin. Is that right? Because the Keep let me do it while siding with Caridin.
The wiki is correct. I've reported that one before myself - hopefully it'll be fixed in the next build. If it's not, you should report it. ![]()

I have never, ever, ever had enough gold to accept Rogek's offer. I just wanted to say that.
I basically just have an 'Order' and 'Chaos' world state.
Order is my main playthrough, named as such because most of my choices seemed to help the world rather than hinder it.
Chaos is the complete opposite of every choice I've ever made because I want to see what else would have happened. (It got pretty bleak so this should be interesting)
It's not a perfect setup and sometimes there's more than 2 choices but I hate missing out and don't have the time to play through multiple times. This is what I love about the keep.
If you put Bhelen on the throne and open the Orzammar Chantry, do you still get the epilogue slide where Brother Burkel gets killed? On my playthroughs where I helped him, Harrowmont was king. We all know how resistant to change Harrowmont is.
Yes, that happens no matter who's king.
I've never gotten the option to kill him. I tell him something like "I should shut you down" and he just walks off.I usually just kill Rogek and steal his gold. Did the mission for him once and it was a lot of work for not much more gold than just taking it then and there...
