I've never gotten the option to kill him. I tell him something like "I should shut you down" and he just walks off.

I believe you say something along the line of i'm taking you to prison for your illegal lyrium dealing lalala something lalala combat.

Oh gosh, I have so many world states planned, it's not even funny.

I'll start with the first 5, since that's all we can have right now.

So World State 01: The theme is "Girl Power". All female heroes. Some of the other world states ended up like this as well, but this is the only one where it's deliberate. So we start with Ophelia Mahariel, Dalish warrior, who romanced Alistair. They both survived due to Alistair performing the dark ritual with Morrigan, and went off to be Grey Wardens together, putting Anora on the throne. Lina Hawke, mage, friendmanced Fenris. She sided with the mages, but killed Anders. They'll be followed by a so-far unnamed female Adaar, rogue, who'll be romancing either Josie, Sera, or Blackwall.

World State 02: Theme is "LGBT". All the heroes are in same-gender relationships. Mai Surana, elven mage, is with Leliana (in my head, they're actually in a poly relationship with Zevran, but alas, that's not possible in-game). She put Alistair and Anora on the throne, and made Loghain a Grey Warden. (He made the ultimate sacrifice) Lex Hawke, rogue, friendmanced Anders, and sided with the mages, keeping Anders alive. They'll be followed by Engel Trevelyan, warrior, who'll be romancing Dorian.

World State 03: Theme is "Free Love". All the heroes romanced the more promiscuous LI. Tasha Aeducan, rogue, romanced Zevran. She put Anora on the throne and made Loghain a Grey Warden, and had him perform the dark ritual with Morrigan. Danae Hawke, warrior, rivalmanced Isabela, sided with the Templars, and killed Anders. They'll be followed by Eléonore Lavellan, mage, who'll be romancing Iron Bull.

World State 04: Theme is "Rogues". So... All rogue playthrough. Rokuta Tabris romanced Morrigan, performed the dark Ritual and eventually went through the Eluvian with her. He put Alistair on the throne. Nadare Hawke friendmanced Merrill, sided with the mages, and kept Anders alive. They'll be followed by Aariak Cadash, who will be romancing either Josie, Sera, or Blackwall (one of these options to be eliminated depending on who my Adaar ends up with).

World State 05: Theme is "Mages". Not only an all-mage playthrough, but an all-EXTREMIST-mage playthrough. Also corrupting all the Chantry boys. I haven't done this one yet, but my plans are Jote Amell, blood mage, romancing Alistair. She'll put him on the throne and remain as his mistress. (Dark Ritual performed) Fran Hawke, blood mage, will be rivalmancing Sebastian. She'll side with mages and secretly agree with Anders, but will still kill him because she's ambitious and wants to rule Starkhaven by Sebastian's side. They'll be followed by Mjrn Trevelyan, necromancer, who'll be romancing Cullen.

World State 06's theme will be warriors and all extremist templar supporters, but I don't have the characters fully planned out yet. I also don't have the themes for states 07 or 08 yet, but have a few of the characters and romances planned.

Maybe this is just me, but I don't really have any World States built.  I just played around with it some to see what the choices are-- we'll have to recreate everything once the non-beta Keep releases anyway, so I don't have anything really set up.

Once I do, I fear many of my saves will be pretty similar since many choices are just obviously the good/better option.  For example, I have never & probably will never choose anything other than having Dagna study at the Mage Tower.

Yeah, like has anyone actually let Kelder live? Or sided with Petrice? I didn't even know the later was POSSIBLE until I saw the option in the Keep. Or that it's possible to not do the quest to rescue Saemus in Act I. (I'm actually super curious on how that effects Act II?!)

There are a lot of smaller things that are going to be the same ("did you do this quest?" "Yes, I wanted the XP"), but I try to still have themes and to keep track of major decisions and, of course, romance.

I know we'll need to rebuild all the world states once the Keep goes live, but that shouldn't take too long. It's a pretty simple and straight-forward process.

Funny you should say that as I did both things for the first time just a few weeks ago. I had no idea it was even possible to side with Petrice until it was happening. No major consequences; she doesn't get offered by the Qunari  and can be seen hanging out in the Chantry in Act 3, though she's had her rank of "Mother" taken away by Elthina and is vowing to stir up support for a schism.

While it seems like that'd fit quite nicely into DAI, I can't imagine they'd give a significant role to a character who almost certainly dies in most people's worldstate. At most I'd say her name might crop up in intelligence dispatches or in a side mission somewhere.

As someone who has played DAO nine times and DA2 eight times, I have done pretty much everything at one time or another, including both of those. (In the same game, even!)

The great thing about the Keep is that it'll let me see any results from the handful of decisions I've never made, either because they were just too evil or because they seemed like way too much trouble. I've never killed Dog, because HOW COULD YOU DO THAT YOU MONSTER?! I've never broken up Aveline and Donnic, because The Long Road is just too funny to skip. And I've never 'killed' Leliana or Wynne after defiling the Ashes or let Meredith kill Bethany - if I didn't want those characters around in a particular game, there were far less complicated ways of accomplishing it.

I'm looking forward to seeing the outcomes of some of the bad decisions my Wardens and Hawkes made. I've found that I don't enjoy DA games as much if I try to optimise everything all the time - I get more out of roleplaying characters who make mistakes sometimes. (Or characters who do things that I think are mistakes, even if the characters themselves think they're good ideas. Like siding with Petrice.)

Well, I finally manage to create a human hating dalish elf. It was too much trouble going through all of Origins to do it. The Hawke that followed that was a sarcastic blood mage. Thedas is doomed.

There are some options in The Keep that I didn't even remember encountering before. Will something so insignificant in previous games have a big impact in the new one? That'd be something to see.

I have only one "canon play through", I tried playing making different decisions but in the end I'd always end up doing the same things. I've actually played as the same character (human Mage) 3 times, wanting to have a perfect world state. I'm really happy that Keep allows me to explore different outcomes and make decisions I never could.

Anyway, my canon playthrough is: human Mage (Amell), romanced Zevran who stayed with me till the end, sided with Mages, destroyed the Anvil, sided with Bhalen (hate the cast system!), brokered peace between the elves and werewolves, had a child with Morrigan, let her go after Witch Hunt, killed Loghain, convinced Alistair to marry Anora so they rule together, survived killing the Archdemon.
In Awakening I sided with The Architect.
In DA2 I played as a warrior Hawke who was very pro-Mage, romanced Anders, approved of his actions at the end and sided with the mages. I managed to convince everyone to stay with me, except Sebastian.

I also played as a female human noble (became the queen with Alistair) and dwarf commoner. I'll definitely try to complete all origins of all DAO characters before DAI comes out.

The only sad thing is, that we have to watch the default faces of our hawkes in DAI...  :(

During my dwarf noble playthrough, I tricked Bhelen. I helped out my brother at every turn... until Caradin gave me the crown. Then I showed my true colors by aligning with Harrowmont. It was my character's plan for revenge all along, but unfortunately, I don't think the game realized that. Everybody just kinda shrugged. But in my headcanon, revenge was sweet.

Just tried out the YOLO button and discovered the human baby with Morrigan tile has been added.  I usually stick to similar or the same choices for major decision points in the games.  It will be nice to use that button to create something far removed from anything I usually do to set the stage for one of DAI playthroughs later on (because let's be honest, I'll likely use my canon world state for the first half dozen Inquisitors I play).

About the "had a normal baby with Morrigan" option... That's only if you turn down the dark ritual, right?

close.  Male warden Romances Morrigan, but refuses the DR.  Morrigan gets pregnant with Normal Child.

It is there.  I was just in looking at it.  I think there are 4 picks in that deck and both dead is one of them.  Take a second look.

It's because it wasn't an 'option' so to speak. It was an after-effect of not doing the dark ritual, but with romancing, fully or temporarily, Morrigan. It was noted on the epilogue slides.

I don't know about Seamus, honestly. I never chose to skip rescuing him. I don't know how it turns out if you don't.

and you can save Vigil's Keep and Amaranthine if you save the city, but fully upgrade Vigil's Keep.

i wish i know what happen if i choose I kill Leiliana in the temple.

I wonder what will she says if my Inquisitor ask her about the Warden.

I suppose she will say "don't you ever talk about that f**king sob to me again or i slit your throat just like i slit that mage"

I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist.

As of now, i'm definitely adding the human baby option to my canon world state. I'm seriously completely unsure how this Morrigan OGB child will be resolved in any future DA games. Its a huge branch.

Yes, it appears she has finally been slain. (Or, at least, I was able to set her to 'dead' and then log out and go away for eight hours without her sneakily resurrecting afterwards.)
