In DA:O it was possible to use a trick so a female human warden could romance Alistair and Leliana at the same time. At the end you could become queen and keep Leliana as your mistress. DA2 did recognize that with both Alistair and Leliana saying their romance dialogue.

Now I thought this world state could not be emulated with the keep, because it was never intended to have more than one romance.

But it seems like you can create a world state like that.

 

Do you think this is a mistake or a valid option?

I know a human female can marry alistiar in a political marriage and still have their main love active .   I don't know if the actual flags for DAI will let you actually have that you romanced both of them.  (i've never tried selecting let's say, Zevran as the main love, but add that Alistair and the warden had a thing in that small section about Alistiar's romance, and then selecting Queen) 

 

I remember back in the day someone was ticked off at Ali for dumping their elf so in their next game they played a cousland just so they could enter a political marriage with Alistair, while romancing Zevran, and when he mentioned something about maybe not being able to have kids they could say"maybe not with you I can't".

Don't know what the official policy is, but if it were up to me, I'd say that so long as it can be accomplished in-game, without using savegame editing, console commands, mods and the like, then it should be valid IMO.

In Origins I believe there is a slide specifically for a Warden who married Alistair, but had Leliana as her mistress.  As someone else pointed out, you can marry Alistair for political reasons, rather than reasons of love.  Same goes for Zevran.  Also, both of them can remain your mistress if you marry Anora for the same reasons, I believe (I know it's possible with a hardened Leliana, and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be possible with Zevran)

 

So yeah, I imagine that worldstate would be valid.

 

However, the glitch you're referring to allows for the player to romance any other romance option, alongside Leliana.  So any other combination would not be considered valid as the Keep stands now.

You know, I'm kind of sad that Troll Dragon is no longer a default part of all world states.

 

We may be able to kill her in the Keep now, but she will never die in our hearts.

But in my headcanon, revenge was sweet.

 

That is all that matters!    Though it is always sad when the in-game characters don't react with the same relish/horror that I have headcanoned.  Why couldn't my Cousland Warden have gloated more over skewering Howe?

But seriously though, this was a lot more efficient and simplified than I'd first imagined. So far, I've made these babies...

 

Archer series

- Romanced Morrigan, went through the mirror to find OGB, and so far, we have no clue what's happened to him since then (I do hope to rectify this...)

- Decent person all around, didn't leave any stones unturned, so pretty much every good person he's met is happier for their meeting.

- Did not kill the architect.

Knox Hawke

- a most sarcastic archer

- Went with Fenris

- Usually pretty nice, very protective of Bethany and Merrill

- friend of the mageys, and all that entails.

 

Blondie series (yeah yeah I have strange ways of organizing my characters)

Azalea Cousland

- Awkward she actually romanced Ser Gilmore with the mod so in the keep we'll just go with no one 

- Very nice yet awkward, so some people died who probably didn't have to heh.

- also did not kill the architect

Aiden Hawke

- magey

- Romanced Anders (I have to see what their story is after the whole blowing-up-the-chantry thing)

- kept everyone alive as much as possible

 

 

And probably so many more to come....I totally get why the world state cap is 5, and it's certainly easy enough to remake one if you delete it, but man that's going to feel weird when I get to the point where I need to delete a world state to play a new game....

So uh... That's literally my head cannon exactly. Minus my Hawke romanced Merril...

 

 

I recently made a Extreme Pro-Circle world state though. Any time I was dealing with demons or the circle I took the killing route. Invoked the right of Annulment, Killed Connor, etc, etc.

Hawke is even a mage in this world state supporting the templars mainly because maleficarum are "evil"

I love being able to add a description to my world states (i jst wish the character limit was longer). I dunno if those descriptions will appear in DAI when you select your world, but if they are that'll be awesome, especially as ive wrote my descriptions as a summary of the story as opposed to bullets to let me know my choices. My canon description is this:

 

James Cousland was the Hero of Ferelden, always doing what he felt was right and putting Alistair and Anora on the throne

 

Kelwyn Hawke was a lovable Rogue. An Aequitarian, he was forced to side with the mages to protect them from the rite of annulment.

I was almost getting ready to complain about that still not being there through yet another Keep update when I kept scrolling to the last image and saw that added. The only thing I'd maybe tweak would be some of the flavor text associated when you click the question mark there since it brings up the Dark Ritual, while the inclusion of the normal baby makes that not quite true.

The only thing I'd maybe tweak would be some of the flavor text associated when you click the question mark there since it brings up the Dark Ritual, while the inclusion of the normal baby makes that not quite true.

 

Yes, I'm so glad they returned my Warden's baby! It's hard to file a missing person's report when you have no idea what the kid actually looks like ...

I haven't checked on the Keep in a while and I come back to find the tiles are redone and WOW they look amazing! The colors are incredible now! Everything feels so rich and textured and vivid, returning me to the initial visual appeal of the games. I'm utterly smitten with the aesthetic choices for DAI and the Keep, I want it to go on forever. 

 

In comparison, the voiced summary and animation seem lack-lustre for the moment, and you can see a lot of aliasing and hiccups, so I can't wait to see the final results for that.

Loghain killed the Archdemon.

Maybe alter the specific text with the normal baby saying "Morrigan's child was a result of a relationship with the warden and not the dark ritual" or something like that.

Not 100% sure for Origins; I believe the only party members you *have* to recruit are Alistair and Morrigan; but I've never tried - however it is certainly possible to not recruit him in Awakening.  I remember telling him I wasn't going to make him a Warden (my Warden didn't want to doom him to such a life) and he got miffed at me and left.

I think they all temporarily join your party, but you don't have to turn them into grey wardens. So, after their little parts with their quests, you can just tell them to smeg off.
