I don't know how it happened, but right now I have a funny world state:

Female Amell, romanced Morrigan and had a baby with her :) I want to keep it!

I just got one of these too with a female Mahariel.

Best part is that after she died killing the Archdemon, she hunted Morrigan down and stabbed her.

Adventures in YOLOing world states:

  • The twins both died in the Deep Roads, but Bethany survived the final battle.
  • Isabela was recruited, not recruited, and given to the Arishok.
  • The Warden, a male Brosca, rules alongside Anora.
  • Alistair remained with the Wardens and killed the Archdemon, but also had a baby with Morrigan.

That was all in a single world state. >_>

First dwarf to rule a human kingdom. That's pretty badass. Always figured Anora would like a husband she could talk down to.

Apparently, Alistair wants something similar. Alistair did the ritual and all that in order to rule alongside his male Mahariel queen. xD

I've got a ton of these - it's pretty hilarious!

I've also had a couple that make sense, but hurt like hell:

  • Mage Hawke romances Anders, executes him, and sides with the templars.
  • Male Cousland romances Morrigan and dies to the Archdemon, but leaves Morrigan pregnant with a human baby. Oh, and the Orlesian Warden stabbed her going into the Eluvian. :|
  • Different Male Cousland romanced Morrigan, refused the ritual and let Alistair die to the Archdemon, then stabbed the mother of his human son at the Eluvian.  :crying:

MY HEART HURTS.

(Also, neither Cousland recruited Dog, which is impossible. )

The Cousland romances Morrigan and has human baby and does ultimate sacrifice sounds remarkably like my ''canon'' world state, although i'm still unsure what's the status on the possibility of both an Orlesian Warden and Ultimate Sacrafice warden co-existing. I don't want my Warden magically resurrected from the dead.

That's one of the reasons the Keep exists - to eliminate weirdness like that going forward. No more resurrected Wardens or MIA Howes. :)

I have to admit I've only just found out it's possible to get Morrigan pregnant with a human child, not through the Ritual. Interesting.

I think my favorite YOLO moment was when my male warden romanced Morrigan, Alistair did the DR, Loghain died killing archdemon, Alistair stayed with the wardens, and my warden (male, remember) remained his mistress.

Heroic Cousland World State - probably similar the canon playthrough for most people with Morrigan and OGB.

Fallen Amell World State - Amell Mage Warden dies slaying the ArchDemon, results in Mage Hawke becoming an aggressive jerk due to cousin's death and lack of respect for a Mage's sacrifice.

Guys, one of the things I can't decide is a bug in the keep or not is this:

If you kill Merrill's clan, can you not kill her when you face the Mages at the end of the game? If you choose to kill her clan in the Keep, you can't kill her, too. I don't see anything on the dragon age wiki that suggest that should be an issue.

Does anyone know for sure, before I report it?

Killing Merrill's clan is independent of any other decision as it purely has to do with how you respond after leaving the cave at the end of A New Path. Whether Merrill can die has to do with not completing Merrill: Friend or Foe, which is her Act 3 questioning beliefs quest, and whether Anders is 100% rivalled and has had his questioning beliefs quest completed.   It has been reported, however, but you can certainly do the same.

See, that's what I assumed. I've killed her once before, and I've killed her clan once before, but never in the same game. In the Keep, however, they are connected. It's listed as a conflicting world state, if you kill them, and kill her.

I reported it as a bug.

So, I originally intended to create 4 worldstates: one based on my canon Warden (the only one I completed all the way through) and 3 based on Wardens who I created, liked the idea of, but never got too far with.  My Canon Warden would be accompanied by the first Hawke I played (and until only a few days ago, the only one I completed), one would include my second Hawke, and the other 2 would be Hawkes I made up just by fooling around with choices in the Keep.

However, now that I've finished my second Hawke, I'm starting to rethink this all.

Way it stood - my canon Warden was an Amell who was very pro mage.  My first Hawke was a diplomatic blood mage, who sided with his people for 90% of the game.  During The Last Straw he ended up siding with the Templars.

Problem was I didn't enjoy that Hawke too much, while I was playing him.  I ended up liking him a lot more after I sat and thought about his progression as a character - but it took me a while to really have much of an attachment to him.

Enter my second Hawke.  She was a two-handed Templar, who joked about everything.  She became very mercenary-like; only doing things for the money, and following through with exactly whatever her employer asked for, after spending a year with the mercenary company.  She had a very close relationship with her sister, until she joined the Wardens - and this (alongside her hatred of Meredith) was what spurred her to side with the mages.

I absolutely loved this character the entire time I played her.  When Act 2 came around, and I saw Alistair and Bethany fighting together as Grey Wardens, it kind of all just clicked for me.  I'm not sure which I want to be my "canon" worldstate now - but so far I think I'm only actually going to have 2 states going in to Inquisition.

The first state will be the one I listed earlier with Amell/Mage Hawke.  And the second will be Amell/my Warrior Hawke.  As of now, I really don't care about my other Wardens - those are the only 2 states I have an interest in currently.  :)

-snip-

Well the joy of the keep is that you can do whatever world state you want whether or not you played it as such. :) My canon world state is your typical goody character with both my Warden and Hawke as female mages. My second is the evil/bad world rogue male however my rogue Hawke was my favorite between the two and I considered for a moment having my mage warden and rogue Hawke as canon despite it not being the intended worlds I wanted.

I've decided to later after DA4 comes out to play a world state combining my favorite versions of all my characters which will likely create a varied world.

I don't know if anyone else came across this problem, but because the tile about the Dark Ritual comes AFTER the What Happens to Alistair tile... the logic gimmick can be a bit stubborn about selecting any ending that has Alistair AND the Warden alive. This could be fixed by giving The Dark Ritual priority. Either putting it before Alistair's tile or perhaps putting it in the Hero section of the tapestry. Or perhaps having the logic detector ask about the Ritual before it suggests changing Alistair/Warden is Dead logic fix.

I have five - I had more, but I pared it down when I found out the keep only kept five :P

I play a Warden and a Hawke that are as close to each other as possible, but as different a worldstate from each other as possible

They are:

  • The Chantry Moralist (pro-Chantry/Templar warrior)
  • The Robin Hood (DW rogue, champion of the downtrodden, Warden was a deposed Dwarven noble)
  • The Complete Monster (blood mage who actively metagames to create the worst possible world)
  • The Dalish Nationalist (archer, didn't know what to do with this for Hawke, so made her anti-Chantry and pro-Merrill)
  •  The Hero (actively metagames to make the best possible world)

I found these choices create the most broadly different Thedases, so I get to see as much of the world as possible :)

this is my issue. the Warden from Origins and the Warden Commander from Awakening are two different characters if the Warden did ultimate sacrifice. I sure hope Tapestry is going to make room for that :(

does anyone know?

I am of the opinion that the Awakening section needs A LOT more tiles. I also, don't understand why Nathaniel isn't in that section.

I got so excited with the Keep that i recreated my first Two Wardens and Hawkes, that i lost so many moons ago and then i saw how similar they were. But the first two are so special to me so their world will the first i play in Inquisition.

Female Amell ( she didn't kill anybody if she wasn't forced to - even Marjolaine, She romanced Alistair and became his mistress even after he marries Anora and becomes King - in my mind their love was a true one , she didn't like the chantry - none of my character does really, she was everyone's friend and ally, not much of a leader but a person with good sense of direction. She spared Loghain and made him sleep with Morrigan - she decided that way he can repay her for saving his sorry life, by saving hers. She believed the Architect and saved Vigil's Keep and Amaranthine )

Male Mage Hawke ( A joker, best friends with Varric, he likes boys with tattoos - rival!romanced Fenris, a mage supporter, Arishok killer, a good judge of character, a friend but a painfully honest one, a fan of explosions - helped blow up the chantry and actively worked against its represensatives in Kirkwall. Carver is a Grey Warden and is on ok terms with his brother. He didn't get the chance to kill Sebastian after he disaproved of the pretty explosion of the chantry - he hopes some day to rectify that  mistake or that someone does it for him *wink* *wink*, he helped Talis and split with her on good terms, he found his father's will and killed Janeka )

For me this is my world ,the perfect one and i'm glad i'm going to reap the rewards of my "hard work"  ;) . For the Inquisition !!

Has anyone else played with the World Randomizer feature? I've tried it a few times and every single time it gave me the result of Did Not Recruit Sten. Mind you, this could be the work of the RNG gremlin, but I just thought I'd toss it out there to see if anyone else has gotten a more varied result when using the randomizer.

I have:
Templar united - side with Templar, kill all, be most evil. i think it be very interesting to see

blood mage united - side with mages, but do bad things, kill most (depending on if killing is good thing)

dream story - marry Alistair do what i feel is right side with mages (good mage in da2)

and then play around i thinking maybe elf love story maybe and be elf as possible

but im also interested in doing something with every choice ive not done just to see what happens

there not all named that but they will be
