I have few world states, but these are my favorites so far.

First: Male Warrior Human (possibly will change to male city elf once I can get him)

He romanced Zevran

cured the werewolves

saved the mages

Put Prince Jerk Bhelen on the throne (the ending seems better

Did the Dark ritual

Alistair king

Rogue Hawke male

Fenris romanced

Sided with mages (in pretty much every situation)

Spared Anders

Second: Female elf Dalish Rogue

Mostly the same choices

She romanced Alistair and Anora became queen

Alistair had awkward fun times with Morrigan

Male Hawke Mage

Romanced Anders

Sided with mages again

spared Anders of course

I was disappointed that we appear to be capped at five world states right now, since I have seven playthroughs to mess around with (one for each origin). I gave a couple of similar ones the boot in favor of later playthroughs that have some darker choices at their backbone to more authentically test the Keep.

Are you including the Grey Warden Origin for an Orlesian Warden Commander?  Or am I forgetting one?

You're probably skipping Amell or Surana, since they're both the mage origin. :) Still, it's not exactly the same experience, especially since my Surana is male and has a completely different personality.

I had considered letting one of my Wardens die so I could roll with an Orlesian Warden on a combined playthrough, but I have long since come to terms with being unable to kill my Wardens. This is actually why I have seven saves associated with my first Warden - she compelled me to replay the entire ending of the game to get it right - it would have been out of character for her to sacrifice herself.

That's it.  I was considering all the different mage characters as one origin.

I don't see Wardens Keep choices. I let Avernus live to find ethical ways to help wardens. I also was sad most of my play through I did when the game first came out were broken due to saving lothering and doing all the little extras of each origins stories. Jowen must be a factor also.

I noticed that too. There were no choices for Warden's Keep material. I also noticed that you had only two choices with Zerlinda. You either helped her reconcile with her family or you didn't. I remember always convincing her to go to the surface and leave the caste system behind her. I wish that was one of the listed choices. :(

Remember: what you're seeing is the beta stage of development, not the final version of what will be publicly released.

Recently, new plot decisions were added, including what happens to the Architect and the fate of Merrill's clan, both of which were heavily requested. You can also submit plot requests via the Beta Feedback in the Keep itself. Origins DLC and the multiple outcomes to Zerlinda's qust are popular things to request in the Ask A Question thread (and in a now deleted thread that was called Lounge Discussion). So, rest assured that not only are there many of us who want to see these things too, we've been making our voices heard and the devs do listen. :)  My advice is to take advantage of the Beta Feedback plot requests option!

Oh believe me I am doing that right now. I've been going through DA2 choices and requesting some plot choices - especially when they concern Isabella. I'm very excited to see this when it's finished. It's shaping up nicely from what I have seen thus far.

I've been really pushing for more of those as well, but I think we're looking at more of a broad sweeping change to Awakenings rather than just tacking one or two more on.

Of course all of this is subject to change at a moments notice :P

Ahh, this is really good news! Not many Awakening decisions impacted DA2 that much, so at least seeing them here in the Keep will be lovely!

Plus I really want it noted somewhere official that Sigrun did NOT die on my Aeducan's save because of that bugged personal quest I didn't have the fix for yet...

apparently I've used up my quota of liking posts for the day…

I'm currently going through DA:O/DA2 play-throughs just to get a feel for some of the plot-bits that I don't remember so well so that I can feel more confident about messing around with them in the Keep. I've also deleted some Keep world-states to make room for new ones.

I hear you there!

We're going to get more than the five slots, right? This heavy limitation is just for testing purposes?

I remember that there was a few ways to pull off some shenanigans, but it's not allowing me to do it in the Tapestry.

For example I remember when I went into the Deep Roads in DA:O I had shale and Ohgren but I didn't bring either of them with me to confront Branka.  I then sided with Branka so I could have my own Golem army for the fight with the Darkspawn.

I then lied to Shale later about not finding anything important at the anvil.

So is this possible to do on the Tapestry or am I doing something wrong when Im imputing stuff.

I have a world state where Shale and Branka are alive and the anvil wasn't destroyed. The whole lying part isn't covered by the tapestry, but the end results are.

Are you having trouble reaching that world state? I don't remember running into any Autosolver conflicts when I set that up; Shale doesn't seem to be directly linked to Branka.

Yea I fiddled around with it some more and I was able to side with branka and keep shale alive.

This tapestry is confusing.

What's confusing? You can keep Shale alive and side with Branka in Origins.

What order did you try setting them, btw? It might help the devs in making things clearer in the future. :)

(I myself set up things in the following order: sided with Branka, Branka lived and the anvil was used. I never touched Shale.)

My "canon" playthrough is from the very first time I played DA:O, totally unspoiled. I definitely didn't make all the perfect decisions, but I was an absolute emotional wreck at the end of the game when Alistair insisted on sacrificing himself to the archdemon. And it's because that game affected me so strongly that it's become the "true" playthrough for me, even though I went on to play the game over and over and over in lots of different ways.

I actually wrote a whole essay on how sucker-punched I was by DA:O: http://shannon.users...et/blog/?p=1223

Anyway, I know this is soooo fannish, but my dearest hope for the Keep is to have the loss my Elissa Cousland suffered be, well--honored, I guess. To have it acknowledged. She was in love with Alistair and she made him king, she was going to be his queen, and then...she lost everything, just like she lost her whole family at the beginning of the game. It was really surreal playing through the post-Archdemon section, back in the castle, when all my other companions seemed to want me to be *happy*. They'd all ask what I was going to do next, and "throwing myself on Alistair's grave and crying my eyes out" was never an option :)

Throughout Awakenings I kind of played her as somebody who had gone numb, just throwing herself into duty and the Wardens because it was all she had left. The only companion I thought she really clicked with was Sigrun, because my Elissa felt dead too. When I played "Witch Hunt" the only thing I wanted to say to Morrigan was: I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't listen to you. You were right all along. (That wasn't an option either!)

Then in DA II I got some weird bugs because the game remembered that my Warden had crowned Alistair and announced herself queen, but it also remembered that Anora was actually the queen at the end of the game, so codex entries and people's dialogue around that stuff got a bit wonky.

So what I'm really hoping for from the Keep is just a place where I can have it acknowledged that in *my* game, the Hero of Fereldan didn't emerge triumphant and showered in honor. She's a grief-struck survivor, deeply scarred by her loss, fighting on because it's all that she knows how to do.

My "canon" save is definitely....

Male, Warden, Human Noble.

  • He aided Redcliffe, saving them from the horrors of the undead and keeping the townsfolk alive. He would go on to be known for his heroic actions during that dark night. He would depart shortly after uncovering Connor's demonic possession and mage powers to the Circle of Magi to seek aid in curing the child.
  • He rescued the Circle from Uldred's betrayal, gaining Wynn as an comrade-in-arms and source of advise during his journey. It would be through Wynn's magical prowess that Connor would be rescued from becoming an abomination.
  • He would travel to the depths of the Deep Roads, seeking the Paragon Branka. His journey taking him down to the very depths of the earth where he would convince the fallen Paragon of her folly and forsake the Anvil of the Void to dust. In exchange he would have a crown and name the progressive thinking Bhelen the new king of Orzammar.
  • He would side with the werewolves against the Dalish, completely disgusted by Zathrian's curse and his disregard for the lives of those who had no part in his family's murder. The werewolves would join the Warden's army, seeking a place in the world for themselves.
  • After retrieving the Urn of Sacred Ashes and awakening Arl Eamon, he moves to Denerim to combat Loghain in the political arena. He would turn his own daughter against him and take him as his bride to secure a place for himself on the throne. His exploits with his companions finished, and having secured a base for Warden operations at Vigil's Keep, he proceeds with plans to combat the arch demon.
  • That night he would commit the Dark ritual with his lover - Morrigan. After defeating the Arch Demon, he would be named Prince Consort and always keep looking for where Morrigan had disappeared. Eventually he would find her and go with her into the Eluvian.

The "canon" story for Hawke....

Mage (almost every playthrough. I think Carver has more personality than Bethany and I felt more connected to the overall story as a mage)

  • Act 1 - 3: I sided with the Mages in just about every scenario.
  • Romance: Isabella. The Pirate Queen and the renegade apostate would sail off together on her newly acquired ship to seek freedom from the Circle and the Templars. (I naturally told the Arishok what I thought of him taking Isabella)
  • Carver joined the Templars, forever on a different path from that of his apostate brother.

They weren't my first playthroughs through either game, and so perhaps were a little less powerful. To be honest though the first time I played through DAO I did a Mage and I was completely evil just so I could unlock every specialization for all the classes for my next playthroughs. I know the first time I played DAO though outside of that evil elf mage I was playing a rogue Human Noble. I married Anora and found Leliana leaving me and on TOP of that because I sparred Loghain Alistair left my side :(

The first time I played through DA2 I did a warrior and Bethany died in the Deep Roads. That took me for a loop. I almost cried.

My canon Hawke is a mage too. I love Carver to pieces, the big hotheaded lunk. His banters with Merrill are beyond adorable.

I got lucky in my first playthrough -- I was flirting with Anders so I took him to the Deep Roads along with Carver (because he wanted to go so badly). Now I send Carver to the Wardens every time. He seems to do really well as a Warden.

I will say one thing I really like about the Keep is that it lets you specify whether your Hawke approved of Anders' actions, independently of whether or not you supported the mages or executed Anders. I did execute Anders the first time I played the game, because I felt like, if he'd done something like *that* then he was truly gone. I thought there was no Anders left, only Justice -- it was supposed to be a mercy killing! But the way it played out, Anders so passive and Hawke leaving him to bleed out in the gutter...it felt awful. So I reloaded and let him live, and that felt better.

Sooooo I guess my canon Hawke basically skips off into the sunset to go be a terrorist freedom fighter with her demon-possessed lover, lol. Weirdly that ending actually did feel a lot more triumphant than my canon DA:O playthrough!

I just started at the top left corner and started working my way right, and then when I got to a paragon of her kind and I originally tried to side with branka the autocorrecter told me I had to change shales state to died so I didn't confirm that.  I then went back to my companions section and set Shale to alive and saved it then went back to the branka encounter and sided with her and the autocorrect didn't pop up this time.

like i said it just seemed a bit confusing and clunky to me.
