Anyone else having trouble deleting a world state that's been shared with you?

I saved it to one of my world state slots, then afterwards tried to delete the active version, since I'd still have the copy that was sent to me. But I keep getting the error "Cannot delete world state. You must have at least one world state." (I have four other world states.)

I did report it; I'm just curious if this is something others have experienced.

Yep, still have this issue. As Darth Krytie said, refreshing works. Logging out and then back in works, too.

I had the same issue with a newly created personal world state too, but refreshing fixed that as well. What a strange bug!

In my fourth world state, which I am sure I will never use, I made it as bad as possible. I went out of my way to ensure that as many people as possible died and the world was in bad condition. I often like to do at least one play-through being evil and mean. It is kind of fun, but also makes me feel bad on the inside. Typically I like the hero to be heroic, a good play-through is my preference.

I prefer to think of myself as being pragmatic. Although even as someone who got rid of Alistair in a heartbeat at the Landsmeet so he could become King/Prince-consort I still thought the little mosiac of Anora just holding up his severed head was a little much. I always try to get my characters into positions of power since I'm curious how they will affect the world state as opposed to a set NPC.

I pretty much put together my "preferred" world state for both games, which was basically the choices that I thought were the "best".

I was actually kind of surprised when I got to the questions about Yehven because I had NO. FREAKIN. CLUE. who that guy was.  I've never played DA2 without an Awakening import where Nathaniel is alive.  I like Nathaniel.  He is cute.  I didn't really futz with it to see if it was properly marked as mutually exclusive with Finding Nathaniel.  Maybe I should have.  I would appreciate it if the status option was more along the lines of "you never talked to this dude".  The "you didn't do this quest" option looks more like you told him "screw you I'm not rescuing your stupid dwarf kids" instead of "he never appeared".

It is properly marked, and if Nathaniel is marked as alive, then you don't get to help out poor Yehvan. Alas. It's one or the other. First time I did it, I hadn't done Awakening yet. After that, I always had Nathaniel alive, and if he's alive, Yehvan never shows up.

[edit: oh hey, IE didn't want to actually quote when I told it too. :P]

I distinctly remember being in a romance with Alistair, and personally breaking it off after the landsmeet. Primarily because he was a dick about making Loghain a warden. My final romance was with Zevran.

In the keep though, the only option to have started a romance with Alistair is to have it cut off by his royal obligations, but I didn't force him to become king. Am I doing something wrong, or did I somehow do something in my save that is totally not what was supposed to happen?

Currently, the Alistair romance wouldn't actually make it into the tapestry at all. You'd just follow Zevran's path. Multiple romance options and things like spending the night with Isabela at the Pearl aren't considered by the Keep at all, at least not right now.

It's just really weird in Alistair's case, because unlike the other companions it specifically says "Alistair and the Warden were not lovers" which isn't true in that particular case. Especially considering that, at least in my opinion, romancing him, making Loghain a warden against his wishes, then breaking up with him, only dying to the ultimate sacrifice tells a great story about why Alistair is such a gloriously depressed drunk.

You're right that it should be addressed. :) If you haven't already, be sure to submit feedback through the tool on the tapestry.

Edit: I also need to stop romancing Anders. I'm kind of looking forward to the pro-templar world just to force myself not to be seduced by him again.

Him and Alistair are the only ones I will romance. I've tried others but the I feel like I am cheating :)

On this subject . . . since Finding Nathanial and the Yehven quest are mutually exclusive, WHY ARE THESE NOT ON THE SAME TILE?!

I kind of had the same problem with the Dark Ritual, because I assumed that would be part of the "how did the endgame play out".  My stuff imported weirdly and it took me AGES to figure out that the Dark Ritual was part of Morrigan's COMPANION tile instead of the whole Battle of Denerim tile.  To me, since it's an integral part of how the end plays out, the "did you do Dark Ritual or not" should be on the Battle of Denerim tile.  Even if the two tiles are locked together, it at least would be easier to FIND some of this stuff.

That would be my preference, anyway, even if it results in a certain amount of duplication where some things are in two places.  The tiles would say different things, like in the Battle of Denerim it could say "You convinced Alistair to do the Dark Ritual" and then on the Morrigan companion tile it could say "Morrigan had a baby with Alistair".  Same thing, two places, slightly different phrasing.

The reason they are not grouped on the same tile is because the quest involving Yehven and his sons takes place in Act 2.  The quest involving Nathaniel is Act 3, so each tile is within its respective Act.

Part of the issue with the Morrigan's Baby plot in the tapestry right now is that it doesn't cover all the possibilities. It basically doesn't allow for Morrigan having a non Old God Baby, which can happen in the game if the Warden romances her, turns down the Ritual  and has Alistair or Loghain kill the Archdemon. This same scenario doesn't allow for that Warden to go through the Eluvian with Morrigan, which is a possibility in game.

So I agree with the what you're saying since the Dark Ritual choice and Morrigan ending up pregnant are actually 2 different things. The actual tapestry tile for Morrigan having the baby really doesn't do a good job communicating the nature of the Ritual choice either.

Isn't it implicit?  If you romance Morrigan and don't do the Dark Ritual, isn't it required that she has a baby with the Warden that isn't the Old God Baby?

It is! But that's not how it's currently reflected on the tapestry. There's no actual tile for the Dark Ritual, only whether Morrigan had a baby or not.

Either there needs to be a separate decision for the Dark Ritual or a new tile for the non-OG baby should be added.

I'd say they should reword the tapestry. Because, and this is just my opinion, the tapestry should reflect choices you can make. You never actually choose to have a baby with Morrigan if you do NOT do the ritual. (I mean, you might set it up to get that epilogue slide in a meta way, but it's not an in-game choice.) Everything in here seems to reflect in-game choices.

That's true!

Plus this is all easy to track. As long as it wasn't the Warden who killed the archdemon and Morrigan has the Warden's baby, then the baby wasn't the OGB.

Except....as I just checked on my Cousland's world state, it's actually impossible to set up the tapestry up that way right now because of the autosolver links.

Yeah, I think it'd probably make more sense for that entry to be specifically about the old god baby/dark ritual.  If Morrigan is romanced, she'll have had a child one way or another.

I support these points, too. I can understand the decision being under Companions (moreso than the Architect decision being under Companions), but as is it doesn't reflect all the possibilities, as Brockololly describes.

I found another slightly oddball discrepancy.  One of my friends had a save file I tried to replicate in the keep and wasn't able to do so. She was playing a Human Noble and during the Landsmeet agreed to marry Alistair in order to become Queen. Then, at the end of the game the Warden died to the Ultimate sacrifice.

This was possible in DA:O, and when imported into DA2 there were instances where both these cases were true. At one point, I think it was Zevran, was talking about the Warden he mentioned his lover dying to save the world, and then right after said he was going to return to Ferelden to see his Queen.

Obviously, the bug is in DA2, because the timeline is technically right, but it feels like an option is missing somewhere. To me it feels like the timeline should reflect your choices in each game as well as the state of the world. There almost needs to be a new option to select that both choices at the landsmeet as well as an option to select who, at the end of the game, actually rules Ferelden.

I imagine the Keep wanted to set it up as Alistair was king by himself, because what the Keep logic does is look for the final outcome. Yes, the Warden may have announced at the Landsmeet she and Alistair would rule together, but nullified that by dying to save the day.  Since the Warden wasn't queen, the Keep would have to be setup to reflect the conclusion of the World State: Ultimate Sacrifice Warden and King Alistair.

As much as I would like to be able to see every nuance in the Keep, I'm not sure it's possible.  Unless a tile is added in that section that includes something like 'Warden wanted to rule with Alistair as his queen, but later made the Ultimate Sacrifice. Alistair ruled by himself,' or something like that.  It would have to be done for the male Cousland who wants to rule with Anora, since the same kind of thing would happen.
