Well in the past 2 DA games they've given you choices of keeping your companions alive or killing them,I don't think that's going to be different in Inquisition and I hope it never changes...like it did in ME3.  <_<

Maybe I just haven't heard everything, but here's the FACTS that I know: "decisions over the course of the game will influence the endgame finale" and "you can complete the game with just one companion." Unless there's some other hard facts that I am unfamiliar with, I think people are far too worried about the possibility of something like "sending Sera with that trade envoy = Bus Crash" or somesuch. It might just mean "you can go through the game without recruiting every single character." I mean, it seems pretty obvious that Cassandra is pretty much the default person who helps you establish the Inquisition, but that doesn't mean you HAVE to recruit Varric, Sera, Solas, Iron Bull, etc.

I'm just tired about everyone being so morbid. >_>

You hit the nail on the head with that example. Those kinds of situations are what led me to posting this and are exactly the kinds of situations that I don't want to see in this game. Having said that, if Sera happens to die as a result of me not preparing her adequately, that would have been my choice and ultimately my fault. I think that would lead to a far deeper sense of loss (or not), than imposing her death on me simply because I chose to send her on that task. If I make a conscious choice to do (a) or (b.), let the consequence be what it is. Just don't let the consequence precede the choice. *laughs* I'm sure we could have an existential debate on this issue, but let's not go there. :D *laughs*
