That's what got me; the fact that some people wouldn't even allow the possibility of there being differing opinions on the ending.  That and insulting language used by some, and the apologists who defended the nastiest excessess.

Wait are we talking about the anti-ending crowd then or the pro-ending crowd now?

Okay, okay, I'm done until this thread gets back on course.

Both.  There were, are, hyperbolic and unyielding asshats on both sides of the spectrum.

This place just gets weirder, top of page 2, last posted on thursday is a "completely dead thread" now? Please.

Even BioWare would benefit if all the people who have just bought the ME games at big sales would not play to the ending, by the way. Because it tends to put people off.

That's it. Get back to your regularly scheduled whatever.

It shouldn't matter. Nasty language is disrespectful whether I agree or disagree with your opinion on a game.  I'm also thinking of that whole mess with Hepler too; that's part of the fallout from DA2 of course, but it was a sign of what was to come with ME3.

On topic:

1. Going into detail would spoil the game, so all I'll say is play the game with the save you've got the way you want, then if anyone does die, read up on how to change that.

2. I'd recommend making a round of the ship after every mission, at the very least after every mission marked Priority; not only can you miss out on some important conversations, but you can miss out on bonus powers too.  Also, crew members move around the ship; check the map before you go.  Also, if there's more than one character together, don't start talking to them straight away; they may be having a conversation you can listen in on, and sometimes take part in.

3. There's a lot to Citadel.  I'd recommend playing the story mission half-way through the game, since it unlocks a lot of stuff that you can use throughout the rest of the game, like a battle arena and an ME1-style weapon with cooldown instead of ammo.  After the story mission, a party is mentioned.  You can hold the party at any point before the final mission (you'll be warned when you're passing the point of no return), and I'd recommend holding off as long as possible.

4. Going into detail would be a spoiler.  All I'll say is that some people hate the endings and some people like them.  I like them.

6. Don't worry, it's only the trilogy that's ended.  The series goes on, for now.

I wasn't around for that nonsense, but looking it up, it was a rather noxious sh*t show, to be sure.

Just looked it up myself. Wow. The level of douchebaggery among gamers seems to be getting out of control lately.

Can yall get me up to speed? Hepler? DA2? Evangelion? Lolwut

Anyways, couple more questions.
Mcfly i think mentioned something about miranda not being there if i do the party at a certain part. I already know she's not gonna die because she was loyal in the second game, sadly it's impossible not to spoil a little bit of the fun unless you lock yourself in a box with no internet. So at what point should I do the party to where everyone will be there?

Another thing: My progress towards the trophy Mail Slot was 8 or 9 out of 10 last time I checked. After installing the dlc's to leviathan, citadel, and omega and starting omega, i noticed the count was at 1 after getting a mail slot kill. In addition, I later noticed my overload specialist count had been reset to zero. What the heck gives? Does this mean my progress towards the 5,000 kills for the veteran trophy reset as well?? I'm playing on PS3.

Another thing: I've noticed that it appears to be significantly harder to string together biotic explosions/combos in single player than in multiplayer. In single player, half the time I hit an enemy with warp the blue biotic field around them indicating that they are primed for a biotic explosion doesn't occur. In multiplayer, almost every single time I hit an enemy with warp, they are primed for an explosion, even when the field isn't visible. What gives?

Is "Hepler" referring to the DA2 retcon bringing Leliana back to life? I remember there was some BW staffer who'd bite your head off if you called it that.

I googled "Hepler ending" and the first result that came up was a thread asking if she wrote mass effect 3's ending. Didn't bother reading it though.

Okay how in the entire hell am I supposed to free aria in afterlife on insanity???? I have a m76 revenant and a graal spike thrower currently equipped and neither can take out those damned adjutants quickly enough before they get close to me. I end up having to run away from them, take fire from all the other soldiers that i don't have time to deal with, use first aid, and repeat. And that's just for two of the damned things

I did that one with an engineer shep. I'm no insanity veteran, and I found it a pretty tough fight. Died (more than) a few times. But the engineer's powers got me through it.

Without knowing your shep's class, the only thing I can suggest is never stop moving, never stop shooting, hit adjutants point-blank with grenades, and sacrifice something to the gods of luck... like Aria's couch.

I'm a sentinel. Was a soldier the first two games. Kinda wish I had adrenaline rush to use as a crutch right now because the only power I have that even puts a dent in the adjutants is the warp

Soon she’s asking how to delete her account, but also responds back to haters claiming they are jealous because she has two things they want to get their hands on: a gaming industry job and a vagina.

I like this Hepler woman-human.

Zap 'em with your tech armor, then warp, then run like hell till the cooldown wears off, then do it again. Failing that, warp+throw. Hit them with your grenades point-blank for maximum damage. That's what I'd do. Too bad you don't have incendiary ammo. With a revenant you could kick some ass. Sentinel is a pretty powerful class if you take advantage of the tech armor. Having said all that, I've never tried a sentinel on insanity.

Everytime I hear/read Tech Armor I hear some random Salarian in my head talking about how it can be used in every situation.

Leviathan DLC tends to overwrite a lot of things and putting them back in vanilla formats. It also introduces a bug to the Extended Cut DLC as well, and it is very noticeable and it's present on all platforms. I had Leviathan installed before I started playing ME3. I had From Ashes, N7 Collector's DLCs, Leviathan, Weapon packs, and MP DLCs. I didn't start playing ME3 until I played through ME2(There was no ME1 for PS3 back then), and that took about 3 weeks.

You can only invite Miranda (and other former ME2 squadmates) to the party if they are A) alive and B) you have done all of their vanilla content in ME3.  Therefore, you can only invite her once you have had all of her conversations.  I can say, without being much of a spoiler, that her content is spread across most of ME3.  So you'll have to wait until pretty much the last minute before throwing the party.

So...wait until Hackett starts dropping hints that further action will put you at a point of no return.

I find that the quickest way to do that is to just run around and destroy the chain-field generators ASAP. Kill whatever Cerberus troops get in the way, but Adjutants keep on respawning until after Aria is free.
