All we know about Rendon Howe's youngest son is that he died during the Blight/Civil War.

How did he die?

Was on Loghain's side or with the bannorn?

Was he in any way knowingly or unknowingly involved in any of his father's crimes?

Did he happen to be the favored child (emotionally or pragmatically)? Was Nathaniel going to be disinherited in favor of Thomas?

Did he have his own lands and titles?

What was his personality like? Nathaniel seemed more down-to-earth and distant whereas Delilah appears to be more expressive, open-hearted and self-sufficient. Where does Thomas fit? Is he closer in attitude to one of his siblings or is he similar to his father?

Probably doesn't mean anything in the long run, but it is curious that we know next to nothing about Thomas Howe.

I could swear Awakening had something about Thomas' fate from the elven servant. At any rate given that he was his father's child, I'd say it's safe to say he fought on Loghain's side.

Given how Howe talks of Thomas yet never once mentioned Nathaniel, it seems apparent that Thomas was the favored child. Remember how Nathaniel says that he'd be scrutinized by some of his relatives and eventually Rendon would do the same? It seems that Rendon, although at one point being a good father to Nathaniel (Nathaniel's comments in the Wending Wood), favored Thomas more.

Does the Human Noble Female hear anything about Thomas? I know Howe propositions her to meet with him like he does for a HNM and Delilah, but does he actually talk of Thomas there?

I've only done one HNF in the past and it was so long ago that I didn't particularly care for it.

Thomas dies during the Blight.  I think Delilah says something along those lines (Or maybe it was the servant).  I also read on the forums he became a drunkard, though I don't know for certain on that one as far as the game goes.

Seeing as Nathaniel (more of an age to the female Cousland since you can even say regarding Thomas *paraphrased* "he's a bit too young for me") isn't even discussed as an option of betrothal, I'd think Howe was closer to Thomas than Nate.  Of course that whole pushing of a child to marry the Cousland is just smoke, in hindsight it's apparent he has no intention of doing anything of the sort, though Delilah mentions 'the spoiled brat' her father wanted to hitch her to.
