Will DA3 allow players to use mods to modify compaions' appearance like previous games ?

I hear some rumors say that DA3 somehow doesn't support mods which is a bad news for me,because personally I think most companions in DA3 are very ugly and I don't  think I want to use them until I can modify their appearance.

DAI is on the Frostbite engine, which is famous for being nearly impossible to mod.

DA2 didn't have mod support either and people still made mods for it.

Wait long enough and I'm sure you'll find something.

I don't like the idea to modify developers work. However it seems that some players just need to shape the game to exactly their personal preferences. I agree that companions in DA:I are not very attractive (physically at least and it is still very subjective matter).

They are are bald or old (ok, I exaggerate here but it was just my impression after seeing Cassandra, Vivienne and Solas :P  ). And it is very dissapointing that women are shorthaired again (except Viv...she does not have even that). Long hairs is something that I was expecting in new generation consoles.

However I'm used that Bioware characters rarely fit my "personal tastes". There were more of attractive female companions in the past (Morrigan, Miranda, Leliana, Isabela) than male characters (only Alistair and default male Shepard). Again, this is very subjective.

Still I prefer to experience exactly what developers create, therefore I am not fan of modding. DA:I won't have official modding tools but I am sure that PC players will find a way to overcome this limitations so everyone will be happy.

They will fight! They will resist! But in the end, all engines can be broken!

Frostbite shall yield and be subjugated to the modding community!

Hahahahahahahahahahah.

That actually sounded alot beter in my head.....

You'll be fine, even if you can't mod them

Actually it does worry me a bit, and I know how some engines can't be modified etc. Anyway, if it stops a few mustacheless/smaller nose Dorian mods, I'd probably say it's worth it for that reason alone.

But eh, I never really modded Witcher 2 and I love that game. If it's quality and engaging enough, it isn't as necessary. I can understand mods for clocking 100+ hours in Skyrim. I wouldn't' touch that game more than 20 hours with a mod or two.

I'll bet that two weeks in start of the game there will be a chest hair mod.

I will not lie:

I'm glad that those Character Modifications will not (or unlikely) appear. As a Game Artist in the making seeing people modding someone else's hard Work hurts a little in the Heart. Plus, everytime I see that dreadful Mod - in youtube videos, not in my own game! - that made Isabela blonde and white, I cringe. That that was made and is so popular, just ticks the wrong boxes. I know, everyone should play the game they want to play, and I'm fine with that, but I for one will certainly not cry for the lost Opportunities of modding. I shudder at the Thought of some... person making a Mod that has a white Vivienne...
