I remember back when I bought the Mass Effect Trilogy, one of the first things that stuck out was how different and sometimes funny Light Armor,Medium Armor, and Heavy Armor would looks on some characters but also how interesting it was to see the characters equipped in such gear since Light Armor sort of reminded me of Jacob suit in ME2

Then on ME2 everyone has their own look but most were just guys in cloths with either kinetic/biotic barriers to protect them while Shepard is basically stuck in interchangeable heavy armor(which became his/her standard then on)

For ME4, I think Bioware should bring back the different armor type but each with interchangeable pieces as well more lightweight options for the MC similar to those of the ME2 cast, not a full body tattoo like Jack but catsuits like Miranda and Kasumi,Stylish wear like Thane and Liara or little bit of both like Zaeed and Samara.

If they allow the MC to be non-human then even more reason for these options

Well I don't really mind if we don't have different amour types but I would certainly like the return of being able equip your squadmates armour. I'd like it if we could also be able to change the colour scheme of their armour as well because while a team of badasses dressed in bright pink and white phoenix armour might be hilarious, its also a bit ridiculous.

I'm all for cosmetic variety, but I wouldn't want to see a return to ME1's version of armor weights, where light gear was pretty much worse than medium and heavy, and each class had restrictions on what armor weights they could wear. If they were to bring back the concept of armor weight classifications, I think that the objective should be to make sure that no class has restrictions on what types of armor they can wear, and there should be a reason for each class to want to wear each armor type. Armor classes should represent an interesting choice and not a pre-determined obligation.

Whatever the case, I trust Bioware's art team to create some awesome looking gear for the player to wear. They've done nothing but impress so far, for me at least :)

I hope not.

I prefer the Weight system, which allowed me to play what I feel like, namely an All-Guns-Blazing Sentinel that had Fortification and Tech Armor on 24/7 ( -90% damage taken ) and tanked everything while firing his Typhoon at anything that moves.

Customizeable armor like in ME2/ME3, but with much much much more options.

Just like I want to spend an hour on the level up screen planning where I'll go, I'd also like to spend an hour on the inventory screen considering my options :P

I'm currently replaying the trilogy, and I like the different looks the armors have on squaddies. I'd like to see more visual customization.

BW did a great job with redesigning weapon modding in ME3, they should just do the same for armor modding.

And no breathing masks anymore pls!

What in the world are you talking about? They did do exactly the same thing. You can mod your armor slots for more health, more shields, more weapon damage, more melee damage, more power recharge, more power damage, or more head shot damage.

The ME3 system is just fine. Heck, you can even change your squadmates armor to receive different bonuses, like either more power damage or faster recharge speed with Liara, or more shields or more weapon damage with Garrus, Ashley and James.

I would like to see more customization in the armors of the PC as well as companions (and armor customization in MP).

I would love to see the system that BioWare has in place for DA:I armor customization make it into ME:Next; which because of the universal use of the Frostbite 3 engine across all major EA developers; is more than likely.
