You've been fairly reasonable lately. You even started using her first name for a while there. You seemed to be mellowing.

But then you go and ruin in.

I have used her last name on occasion just not as much.  I've been mellow since there has been very little said about her recently. Not sure when the last thread was made about her.

Always that whining about the personality change. Ugh.

How many people do you know in real life with a consistent personality? -_-

Everyone I know IRL has a personality that doesn't change drastically within a time span of one or two years.

If you cannot say the same, then you have my condolences for you must be living in an insane asylum.

Sometimes I wish Liara really impregnated herself with Shepard's genes and we play as her daughter. Who has a mother complex.

Oh the delicious butthurt <3

actually you're the one that gets the condolences because of how little you how about human nature. a drastic & quick personality change is more than possible, depending on what life experiences you go through. it can even happen overnight if you get sexually assaulted or involved in a shootout or taken hostage.

before that, you were a happy person who never thought anything would ever happen to ya. then all of the sudden, your life will never be the same again. you become far less trusting, for one. and you force yourself to toughen up so that it never happens to you again.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see her make small appearance in a similar fashion to Leliana in DA2. By the time of ME4's events, she's bound to be an even more prominent and powerful figure. She's the damn Shadow Broker. Now that I think of it, I'd be more weirded out if we didn't see or hear from her at all.

Knowing BioWare they'll probably keep her around for nostalgia's sake, but no, I don't want to see her again, or any character related to the shep-trilogy. I want to see all new faces.

Lol, are you for real, man?

But to get back to the game: had Liara been the exact same person after having her best friend/love interest killed, retrieving his body and having him ressurected by terrorists... now that, that would've been awkward.

But apparently you only know people who don't change one bit after dramatic experiences... or.. any experience at all.

No we have not.

There is no such thing as too much Liara. It's been proven scientifically.

But yes, I would very much like to see her again. The amount of butthurt... it would be exquisite B)

Well, that and she is my favourite character, so you know... all is good.

Honestly, I would probably prefer no returning characters at all.

I would probably drop the series if we are forced to undergo another spotlight for the teacher's pet of the galaxy. She is the Liliana of ME.

Worse, I'd say.

Liara will probably have some form of supporting role in the next Mass Effect. (It's quite inevitable) but my only hope is that the story and plot does not emphasizes Liara too much.

I'd be surprised to see any of the previous squad since any of them can be dead by the end of ME3. Seems like a real headache.

Ignoring that, I wouldn't mind if she showed up if for no other reason than to ****** all the Liara haters off.

@PCThug

Pissing off some more people? Seems like a good idea, especially for BioWare.

Now that is someone who I wouldn't like to see in the game.

I'm sure the success or failure of ME:N will hinge on Liara's presence.

That would be interesting, and would bridge ME3 to the new series on a more personal level. Maybe a small cameo role (she could be the quest giver for a mission or something). But I think Bioware wants to distance themselves from all that is Shepard, so I think anything that ties the universe to her/him will be nixed.

Dr. T'Soni has been my favorite character since the first time I played ME1. That being said, I absolutely positively don't want to see her at all in the next game. That goes for every character/squadmate from the Shepard Trilogy.

Time for a clean slate. A new adventure. A different journey. With new friends, against a different threat.

Seems a grim future for the IP if the future itself is untouchable.

Won't happen but it could do to the long life spans of asari.  I always had to laugh at the one convo with the asari when she talks about dating a krogan or other asari with long life spans being a big commitment because it is not as if you are dating a human that will kick off in 100 years at the most.
